The desire to destroy the Jewish state of Israel that proceeded the 1967 Six-Day War is prevalent in the Middle East again today
"A close look at the Middle East will result in the reality that many of the Arab and Islamic states are using some of the same radical rhetoric used by these same nations some 40 years ago in the lead up to the 1967 Six-Day War...now, as it was in the lead up to the 1967 Six-Day War, the Arab-Muslim nations are once again calling into question the existence of a Jewish state in the Middle East."

Syria preparing for war
"Al-Sharq al-Awsat reported that as of May the Syrian army has been engaged in a series of wide-scale military exercises. In 1973, as it may be recalled, these exercises turned out to be a de facto attack. Even the Israeli ambassador to the US, Salai Meridor, has officially confirmed that Syria has significantly boosted its military presence on the border with Israel. "Since the Yom Kippur War Syria hasn't deployed such a significant number of forces on the border," he said."

I've repeated this Psalm a lot on this blog lately because it is so fitting to what we're seeing in our generation (last couple of years?). In case any of you missed it, here it is again. I serve an awesome God, the only God, and I sincerely hope you do too:

Psalm 83

A song. A psalm of Asaph.
1 O God, do not be silent!
Do not be deaf.
Do not be quiet, O God.
2 Don’t you hear the uproar of your enemies?
Don’t you see that your arrogant enemies are rising up?
3 They devise crafty schemes against your people;
they conspire against your precious ones.
4 “Come,” they say, “let us wipe out Israel as a nation.
We will destroy the very memory of its existence.”
5 Yes, this was their unanimous decision.
They signed a treaty as allies against you—
6 these Edomites and Ishmaelites;
Moabites and Hagrites;
7 Gebalites, Ammonites, and Amalekites;
and people from Philistia and Tyre.
8 Assyria has joined them, too,
and is allied with the descendants of Lot.
Interlude

9 Do to them as you did to the Midianites
and as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River.
10 They were destroyed at Endor,
and their decaying corpses fertilized the soil.
11 Let their mighty nobles die as Oreb and Zeeb did.
Let all their princes die like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 for they said, “Let us seize for our own use
these pasturelands of God!”
13 O my God, scatter them like tumbleweed,
like chaff before the wind!
14 As a fire burns a forest
and as a flame sets mountains ablaze,
15 chase them with your fierce storm;
terrify them with your tempest.
16 Utterly disgrace them
until they submit to your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be ashamed and terrified forever.
Let them die in disgrace.
18 Then they will learn that you alone are called the Lord,
that you alone are the Most High,
supreme over all the earth.

Hi endtime, my name is George and i`ve been reading your posts on Joels sight for awhile, you have great insight. My question is that i recieved a free book titled End Time Prophecy by a gentleman named Ronald Weisman i think thats is last name, anyways i believe he`s way off base. Have you heard of him or read his book, and if so your opinion. Thank you endtime and i look forward to chatting with you. George

Thanks George,

Sorry I haven't heard of Weisman, but I do think it's good to ask questions like you're doing. Test everything against God's holy Word - we live in crazy times. Many mainstream churches have gone far astray; often in more ways than one. As Christians, we need to completely submit to the Holy Spirit's leading by digging deep into the Bible, and listen less to men who are swayed by the trend of the day. I think too many churches are stuck in the "me generation" - how can we meet our needs better?; what kind of worship style do we want to attract people?; what social activities will bring in the people?; etc, etc. It's not about US, it's about developing a reverent fear and intense love for God, and what He's accomplished through Christ. Not "what will make people feel good in church".

Sorry for the left field, tangent I'm going on George. Ask Lightshine, I tend to go on these rants every once in a while. I guess I just get so disturbed by what I'm seeing in the church today. I just wish collectively as a church we could grasp onto even the tiniest fraction of who GOD is. If we did, a whole lot less of church would be about looking attractive to bring in the people, and instead we'd be digging into the Bible like never before, and focusing completely on God's will. We serve an enormous God, words cannot begin to express His greatness. Amen? I just wish more people would focus on that amazing fact.

OK, now that was a REALLY BIG TANGENT, sorry, but I just got off the phone with my Dad, and had an amazing talk about this very same subject. Plus this is my blog, so I guess I'm entitled to some "artistic freedom", right (lol)?? Have a great day George. Be careful of lions waiting to devour.

1 Peter 5:8
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

I havent read it as of yet. But a few years back i read a book entitled "The Pre Wrath Rapture Of The Church" written by a jewish man for christ, i forget his name, very powerful book, well i guess it was my turn to rant. lol. I would like to share this before i leave you alone i was brought up mid trib rapture in my house it was taught pre abomination of desolation, as i got older and started reading and praying and researching and PRAYING i started to feel as though it would be pre trib, but i believe that may have come from alot of other prophecy books with that view. As of today i`m still not sure if its pre or mid, but i can say this I`M READY. Yes Lord Jesus come quickly. Have a great week to come endtime.
