Words from the Obamanation

Thus saith the Obamanation:

20 Obama Quotes About Islam Contrasted With 20 Obama Quotes About Christianity

Obama messiah
You are about to read some of the most shocking quotes that Barack Obama has ever uttered in public.  A few of these have been widely circulated, but most of them are very obscure.  Even though he claims to be a Christian, throughout his political career Obama has repeatedly attacked traditional Biblical Christianity and he has a very long history of anti-Christian actions.  In public speeches he has repeatedly cast doubt on the Bible, he has repeatedly stated that he does not believe that Jesus is necessary for salvation, and he has consistently said that he believes that all “people of faith” believe in the same God.  At the same time, Obama has always referred to Muhammed as “the Prophet”, he has always expressed great love and respect for Islam, and he has even removed all references to Islam from terror training materials used by federal government agencies.  So what in the world does “the leader of the free world” actually believe?  Read the quotes below and decide for yourself…
20 Quotes By Barack Obama About Islam
#1 “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam”
#2 “The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer”
#3 “We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.”
#4 “As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam.”
#5 “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.”
#6 “Islam has always been part of America”
#7 “we will encourage more Americans to study in Muslim communities”
#8 “These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings.”
#9 “America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.”
#10 “I made clear that America is not – and never will be – at war with Islam.”
#11 “Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism – it is an important part of promoting peace.”
#12 “So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed”
#13 “In ancient times and in our times, Muslim communities have been at the forefront of innovation and education.”
#14 “throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.”
#15 “Ramadan is a celebration of a faith known for great diversity and racial equality”
#16 “The Holy Koran tells us, ‘O mankind! We have created you male and a female; and we have made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another.’”
#17 “I look forward to hosting an Iftar dinner celebrating Ramadan here at the White House later this week, and wish you a blessed month.”
#18 “We’ve seen those results in generations of Muslim immigrants – farmers and factory workers, helping to lay the railroads and build our cities, the Muslim innovators who helped build some of our highest skyscrapers and who helped unlock the secrets of our universe.”
#19 “That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”
#20 “I also know that Islam has always been a part of America’s story.”
20 Quotes By Barack Obama About Christianity
#1 “Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation”
#2 “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.”
#3 “Which passages of scripture should guide our public policy?  Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is OK and that eating shellfish is an abomination?  Or we could go with Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith?”
#4 “Even those who claim the Bible’s inerrancy make distinctions between Scriptural edicts, sensing that some passages – the Ten Commandments, say, or a belief in Christ’s divinity – are central to Christian faith, while others are more culturally specific and may be modified to accommodate modern life.”
#5 “The American people intuitively understand this, which is why the majority of Catholics practice birth control and some of those opposed to gay marriage nevertheless are opposed to a Constitutional amendment to ban it. Religious leadership need not accept such wisdom in counseling their flocks, but they should recognize this wisdom in their politics.”
#6 From Obama’s book, The Audacity of Hope: “I am not willing to have the state deny American citizens a civil union that confers equivalent rights on such basic matters as hospital visitation or health insurance coverage simply because the people they love are of the same sex—nor am I willing to accept a reading of the Bible that considers an obscure line in Romans to be more defining of Christianity than the Sermon on the Mount.”
#7 Obama’s response when asked what his definition of sin is: “Being out of alignment with my values.”
#8 “If all it took was someone proclaiming I believe Jesus Christ and that he died for my sins, and that was all there was to it, people wouldn’t have to keep coming to church, would they.”
#9 “This is something that I’m sure I’d have serious debates with my fellow Christians about. I think that the difficult thing about any religion, including Christianity, is that at some level there is a call to evangelize and prostelytize. There’s the belief, certainly in some quarters, that people haven’t embraced Jesus Christ as their personal savior that they’re going to hell.”
#10 “I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell.  I can’t imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity.  That’s just not part of my religious makeup.”
#11 “I don’t presume to have knowledge of what happens after I die. But I feel very strongly that whether the reward is in the here and now or in the hereafter, the aligning myself to my faith and my values is a good thing.”
#12 “I’ve said this before, and I know this raises questions in the minds of some evangelicals. I do not believe that my mother, who never formally embraced Christianity as far as I know … I do not believe she went to hell.”
#13 “Those opposed to abortion cannot simply invoke God’s will–they have to explain why abortion violates some principle that is accessible to people of all faiths.”
#14 On his support for civil unions for gay couples: “If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount.”
#15 “You got into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
#16 “In our household, the Bible, the Koran and the Bhagavad Gita sat on the shelf alongside books of Greek and Norse and African mythology”
#17 “On Easter or Christmas Day, my mother might drag me to church, just as she dragged me to the Buddhist temple, the Chinese New Year celebration, the Shinto shrine, and ancient Hawaiian burial sites.”
#18 “we have Jews, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, and their own path to grace is one that we have to revere and respect as much as our own”
#19 “All of us have a responsibility to work for the day when the mothers of Israelis and Palestinians can see their children grow up without fear; when the Holy Land of the three great faiths is the place of peace that God intended it to be; when Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and Christians and Muslims, and a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra — (applause) — as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, peace be upon them, joined in prayer.  (Applause.)”
#20 “I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people.”

Muslim extremism: That’s just calling it like it is
"...These deniers refer to religion rather than Islam, they speak of religious extremism instead of Muslim extremism.

They run away like frightened fools rather than turn and fight and stand up for disenfranchised, persecuted, besieged minorities - invariably Christian - facing a living hell in the Islamic world. Mock Christians and then win a Hollywood award; mock Islamic fanaticism and then be betrayed by celebrities and rejected by liberals when Muslim killers promise to murder you and your family.

In that Kenyan mall, a little English boy looked bravely at one of the Muslim thugs and said "You're a very bad man." The terrorist was ashamed, gave the child a Mars bar and moved on. If only the actors, politicians, authors, journalists, and the rest had an ounce of the courage of that little fellow.

But they haven't."

Islamist Boko Haram gunmen massacre 50 Nigerian students
DEBKAfile September 29, 2013, 1:14 PM (GMT+02:00)

Molima Idi Mato of the Yobe state College of Agriculture in rural north-east Nigeria told AP that the gunmen had killed as many as 50 students in their sleep after midnight Saturday. They also torched classrooms. Security forces are still recovering bodies. Some 1,000 students fled. Similar school attacks in the region have kept it on a military state of emergency...

the militants started revenge attacks, first on schools, seen as focuses of the Western culture they despise, then on the security forces and the civilians they believed were helping the army."

The Quran in all its "Glory"

Kenya mall attack torture claims emerge from soldiers: 'Eyes gouged out, bodies on hooks, fingers removed'
"Horrific claims of torture emerge as soldiers reveal gory Kenyan mall massacre details"

Life in the Dar al Harb. I haven't heard any of these graphic, gory details in the American media. What is with the American Obamacized media!? Are they afraid to expose authentic Islam?

Ah, peace at last.

US appeasement of Iran drowns Israel’s military option against nuclear Iran or chemical Syria
"Thursday, Sept.26, will go down in Israel’s history as the day it lost its freedom to use force either against the Iranian nuclear threat hanging over its head or Syria’s chemical capacity – at least, so long as Barack Obama is president of the United States."

1 Thessalonians 5

New Living Translation (NLT)
Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you. For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape.

The Bible is never wrong. Ezekiel 38:8 does indicate that it will be Iran et al attacking Israel, and not a pre-emptive strike by Israel that starts this inevitable war, but for now the world is basking in the warmth of a false peace.

I'm not trying to be negative; Kerry, Obama, Khatami and other world leaders are just following down the path the Bible has long ago predicted. Nothing can stop the prediction and the Lord's return is coming.

World powers set to test Iran on nuclear dispute | The Times of Israel

World powers set to test Iran on nuclear dispute | The Times of Israel: "Foreign ministers from the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany will meet with Iran’s top diplomat on Thursday to test the Islamic Republic’s apparent willingness to reach a deal to resolve international concerns about its nuclear program after years of defiance."

Isaiah 2:
This is a vision that Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s house
will be the highest of all—

the most important place on earth.
It will be raised above the other hills,
and people from all over the world will stream there to worship.
People from many nations will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of Jacob’s God.

There he will teach us his ways,
and we will walk in his paths.”
For the Lord’s teaching will go out from Zion;
his word will go out from Jerusalem.
The Lord will mediate between nations
    and will settle international disputes.
They will hammer their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will no longer fight against nation,
    nor train for war anymore.

Washington and Europe rush headlong towards accepting a nuclear Iran

Washington and Europe rush headlong towards accepting a nuclear Iran
"It is less clear what moves President Obama to swallow the Iranian bait and go for a historic US rapprochement with the revolutionary republic. On every occasion, he protests that Israel’s security is his overriding concern. Yet he is rushing to accept a nuclear Iran whose avowed ambition is to destroy Israel.
Under their slick new façade, the ayatollahs have not changed their spots. Washington has."

1 Thessalonians 5:
Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you. 2 For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. 3 When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape.

The false peace with Syria and Iran is setting up the perfect environment for the return of Jesus Christ. Interesting how the disarmament of  Syria's chemical weapons has completely evaded the media spotlight. Whatever happened to Syria's "deadline" to declare all its chemical weapons within a week or "risk a US military strike?" Meh, that was so yesterday (literally).

I'm not itching for a war, but Obama looking the other way and accepting any fake peace for the media's eye is setting the world up for a major conflagration with Israel at the center of it. Well, nobody can say that they weren't forewarned. The Bible clearly states that a world war with Israel at its center will end this age, and that it will happen some time after Israel became a nation again on one day, which was May 14, 1948 by the way (see Isaiah 66:8). Unfortunately most choose not to listen to the Bible and instead mock it. They do so at their own peril. The last day will be glorious for the believer, especially for all the Christians who are currently being killed by the "peaceful" Muslims in our day. Unfortunately, I fear the last day will be a beyond tragic day for most.
Isaiah 13:For see, the day of the Lord is coming—    the terrible day of his fury and fierce anger. The land will be made desolate,    and all the sinners destroyed with it.The heavens will be black above them;    the stars will give no light. The sun will be dark when it rises,    and the moon will provide no light.“I, the Lord, will punish the world for its evil    and the wicked for their sin.I will crush the arrogance of the proud    and humble the pride of the mighty.I will make people scarcer than gold—    more rare than the fine gold of Ophir. For I will shake the heavens.    The earth will move from its placewhen the Lord of Heaven’s Armies displays his wrath    in the day of his fierce anger.”

UK media: A British woman commands Nairobi mall terrorists
DEBKAfile September 23, 2013, 9:04 AM (GMT+02:00)

At least three Britons were reported among the fatalities of the mall attack.

78 killed, over 100 injured in Peshawar church attack
"A twin suicide bombing killed at least 78 people at a church service in northwest Pakistan on Sunday, officials said, in what is believed to be the country’s deadliest attack on Christians. "

Revelation 16:13 And I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs leap from the mouths of the dragon (satan), the (LBL) beast, and the false prophet (Mohammad).
14 They are demonic spirits who work miracles and go out to all the rulers of the world to gather them for battle against the Lord on that great judgment day of God the Almighty.

Obama said ready to engage in talks with Iran based on 'mutual respect' | The Times of Israel

Obama said ready to engage in talks with Iran based on 'mutual respect'
That would be impossible because Iran doesn't respect Obama at all. In fact I think I can hear Rouhani laughing in Iran from here...right now.

Mr. Obama should read the headlines above from Monday Sept 23rd to see if the Muzzies "mutually respect" him and other Kafurs. Ridiculous!

No time left for negotiations with Iran: Israeli minister
"JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Iran is on course to develop a nuclear bomb within six months and time has run out for further negotiations, a senior Israeli minister said.

"One must not be fooled by the Iranian president's fraudulent words," Netanyahu's office said in a statement on Thursday. "The Iranians are spinning in the media so that the centrifuges can keep on spinning."
Mark these words: Rouhani to NBC News: "We have never pursued or sought a nuclear bomb and we are not going to do so. We have time and again said that under no circumstances would we seek any weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons, nor will we ever." Complete lies!

Netanyahu warns against Rouhani’s deceitful words
DEBKAfile September 19, 2013, 11:27 PM (GMT+02:00)
We must not be taken in by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s false promise that his country will never develop nuclear weapons,” Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Thursday, in response to Rouhani’s NBC interview. This is the man who once boasted that he had hoodwinked the international community in nuclear talks.
The proof of Iran’s intentions is in its deeds, not words. What Tehran is after is a deal for letting go the unimportant part of its nuclear program, while preserving its capabilities for building a nuclear weapon whenever it chooses to do so, said Netanyahu.
Rouhani says Israel is the source of regional instability when all the while his country sends men to butcher innocent Syrians and promotes terrorism across the world.
Asked by the NBC interviewer if  he subscribed to Ahmadinejad’s denial of the Nazi Holocaust, Rouhani replied “I’m not a historian.” The Prime minister capped this comment by saying: You don’t have to be a historian to admit to the Holocaust, just a human being.

Obama's first Deadline for Assad - FAIL!

WASHINGTON - The ambitious U.S.-Russian deal to eliminate Syria's chemical weapons, hailed as a diplomatic breakthrough just days ago, hit its first delay Wednesday with indications that the Syrian government will not submit an inventory of its toxic stockpiles and facilities to international inspectors by this weekend's deadline.

The State Department signaled that it would not insist that Syrian President Bashar Assad produce the list Saturday, the end of a seven-day period spelled out in the framework deal that Washington and Moscow announced last weekend in Geneva.

Marie Harf, a State Department spokeswoman, said Wednesday that "our goal is to see forward momentum" by Saturday, not the full list. "We've never said it was a hard and fast deadline."

It wasn't clear whether Syrian officials needed more time to complete a formal declaration of their chemical arms, or whether the disarmament deal itself was in trouble.

DOCUMENT:  U.N. report on chemical weapons use in Syria

Secretary of State John F. Kerry had described the date as the first of several "specific timelines" that would indicate whether Syria is committed to the deal that he and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had worked out.

"We agreed that Syria must submit within a week - not in 30 days, but in one week - a comprehensive listing," Kerry said Saturday. He said the U.S. would allow "no games, no room for avoidance, or anything less than full compliance."

Senior Obama administration officials had praised Russia for persuading Assad's government to relinquish its lethal chemical arsenal, one of the world's largest, by mid-2014 in a deal to avoid U.S. missile strikes in retaliation for the Aug. 21 poison gas attack that the U.S. says killed more than 1,000 people.

But Moscow's ability or willingness to push its ally in Damascus to meet the first deadline in the deal now is being questioned.

Kerry and Lavrov sought last weekend to portray the two powers as united. The gap between them, however, has become more apparent and is threatening to snarl efforts to craft a United Nations Security Council resolution that lays out how Syria is to meet its obligations.

The resolution needs to be complete before the first steps can be taken to impound and either remove or destroy Syria's arsenal. Diplomats said Western countries split with Russia in a meeting Tuesday over Western demands for tough enforcement of the agreement.

Diplomats hope to complete the resolution by Friday, but if they fall short the work may be delayed further next week because of the meeting of the U.N. General Assembly.

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, an international body based in The Hague, is expected to take several days to complete its analysis of the Syrian "initial declaration," and then will submit its report to the United Nations.

FULL COVERAGE: The debate on Syria

Gary Samore, who was President Obama's top arms control advisor until February, said the declaration is key because "it will provide an early test of whether this process is ever going to get off the ground."

Samore, now research chief for the Belfer Center at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, said he believes Russia is pushing Syria to comply. He also said, "Assad is going to try to hide some portion - maybe 10%, maybe 30% - whatever he thinks he can get away with."

Western diplomats close to the deliberations at the U.N. are wary that the Syrians may try to "cheat and retreat," as Saddam Hussein's government did for years in Iraq, to stymie U.N. weapons inspections.

"We're not going to lose a lot of faith in the Syrians, because we're not starting out with a lot," said one diplomat, who declined to be identified because of the sensitivity of the issue.

Western diplomats said they wanted to avoid a mistake of the U.N.'s battle with Hussein by starting out with an enforcement mechanism strong enough to prevent the Syrians from avoiding their obligations.

The Russians and Americans are sharply split over the use of the U.N.'s Chapter 7, which authorizes punitive actions, in any resolution. Russia has argued that it should be included only as a possible avenue for future action, while the United States, Britain and France want it conveyed automatically if there is noncompliance.

Russia also amplified its claims that rebels seeking to overthrow Assad, not the Syrian government, fired rockets filled with deadly sarin gas Aug. 21, and described a U.N. report on the incident as "politicized" and "one-sided."

U.N. spokesman Martin Nesirky defended the report Wednesday, calling it "indisputable" and "thoroughly objective." Independent groups have analyzed data in the report and concluded that the rockets were fired from government-controlled areas into territory held or contested by rebels.

U.S. officials say they have seen no evidence that chemical weapons are stored or being used in areas held by the opposition.

Some experts argued that the one-week timeline was too generous. Robert M. Gates, former Defense secretary under George W. Bush and Obama, said this week that Assad should have been given a 48-hour ultimatum.

"It should be an easier task on the part of the Syrians compared to the Iraqis," said Charles Duelfer, who led the U.S. search for weapons of mass destruction after the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Lies, lies and more lies

Rouhani: My administration will never develop nuclear weapons
DEBKAfile September 18, 2013, 10:38 PM (GMT+02:00)

In his first interview with a US news outlet as Iranian president, Hassan told NBC News Wednesday that his administration will never development nuclear weapons and that he has full authority to make a deal with the West on the disputed atomic program. About President Obama’s letter of congratulations, Rouhani he had raised some issues, but the “tone of the letter was positive and constructive."
DEBKAfile: As for his administration never developing nuclear weapons, what about his predecessors, especially Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who completed their development and saved him the trouble?

Ah, peace at last! Obama and Rouhani are passing love letters.

Obama softens on nuclear Iran: Keep components, just promise not to weaponize them
"...the US president has come to terms with a nuclear-capable Iran and will be satisfied with Ayatollah Khamenei’s word that Tehran will not take the last step to actually assemble a bomb."

Nobel laureate Obama lives up to his peace medal. Soon we will have peace with Syria and the Iranians (who are obviously lying to him). Sadly most will fall for president Rouhani's facade as a reformer and peace lover. Then war will hit the Middle East like never before.

Prime Minister Netanyahu must be feeling very betrayed and lonely right now, but he has the God of Israel on his side, who is all he needs to see the rest of Biblical prophecy fulfilled.

Matthew 11:
15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Gonorrhea Among Drug-Resisting Germs Sickening Millions - Bloomberg
" Now, the antibiotic pipeline has largely dried up, leaving doctors without new weapons against the illnesses -- a “nightmare,” Solomon said.
“The cushion of new antibiotics is gone,” Solomon, a report author, said by telephone. “We’re right at the edge of this cliff where we’re approaching the post-antibiotic era.”"

McCain, Graham call US-Russia agreement on Syria 'meaningless' | Fox News
"Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham criticized the U.S.-Russia agreement Saturday to disarm Syria of its chemical weapons, calling it “meaningless” and saying the agreement sends the wrong signal to Iran, which is suspected of  building a nuclear weapon."

Officials: U.S. won’t seek U.N. approval for strike if Syria reneges on chemical-arms pact
"The United States and Russia agreed Saturday on an outline for the identification and seizure of Syrian chemical weapons and said Syria must turn over an accounting of its arsenal within a week.

The deal will see all chemical weapons in war-torn Syria brought under international control and destroyed by mid-2014."

Have pigs learned to fly? I must have missed something.

NSA disguised itself as Google to spy, say reports | - CNET News
"The US National Security Agency -- or its UK counterpart -- appears to have put on a Google suit to gather intelligence."

Does anyone still wonder why trust in government is at all time lows? But we can trust him on that 'Syria thingy.' Obama is making Putin and al Assad look good.

Pope Francis assures atheists: You don’t have to believe in God to go to heaven - Europe - World - The Independent

Matthew 23:And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your spiritual Father.

Pope Francis assures atheists: You don’t have to believe in God to go to heaven
In July, Francis signalled a more progressive attitude on sexuality, asking: “If someone is gay and is looking for the Lord, who am I to judge him?

Expressing the belief that it was important for Christians to engage in "a sincere and rigorous dialogue" with atheists, Francis recalled Scalfari had asked him whether God forgave those "who do not believe and do not seek to believe".

"Given – and this is the fundamental thing – that God's mercy has no limits, if He is approached with a sincere and repentant heart," the pope wrote, "the question for those who do not believe in God is to abide by their own conscience. There is sin, also for those who have no faith, in going against one's conscience. Listening to it and abiding by it means making up one's mind about what is good and evil."

Huh? What does that response even mean? This new "Vicar of Christ" is re-writing all the rules, or making them so unclear that it's impossible to distinguish between right and wrong if we were to listen to this "holy father'. Very popular ideas, but very dangerous. The Bible is far more clear-cut than that:

Mark 16:
15 And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

1 Corinthians 6:
Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

2 Timothy 4:

For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.

A plea for caution from Vladimir V. Putin

What Putin Has to Say to Americans About Syria - NYTimes.com:
MOSCOW — RECENT events surrounding Syria have prompted me to speak directly to the American people and their political leaders. It is important to do so at a time of insufficient communication between our societies.

Of course we can trust the Russians.

Iran threatens widespread retaliation against U.S., others | The Daily Caller

Iran threatens widespread retaliation against U.S., others
"Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu both should know that all options are on the table, including the destruction of Haifa and Tel Aviv, should the U.S. attack Syria, Iran has declared.

That blunt warning came in Mashregh News, the Islamic Republic’s official media outlet run by the Revolutionary Guards intelligence unit, in an alarming commentary last week"

Assad's chemical weapons join the ranks of Iran's nuclear activities

The Lavrov-Kerry Peace Plan...hopeless
Chemical weapons deal may end up strengthening Assad
"The process of removing Assad's chemical weapons could take years, giving Assad and his Russian allies time. The destruction of Libya's main chemical stockpiles were only completed this year, nearly 10 years after Moammar Gadhafi said he would relinquish his nuclear program and chemical weapons stockpiles.

During that time, Assad will likely be able to continue battling rebels while dealing with weapons inspectors and attempting to consolidate his power."

The "Kerry-Lavrov Plan" (snicker) looks to me like just a convenient way for Obama to climb down from doing the highly unpopular. There is no way Russia and Syria will cooperate with the West and it will quickly resemble the nuclear stalemate in Iran. In fact the two sides have already hit a wall with Russia demanding the US first promise not to attack Syria before any disarmament begins. The US, of course, refused. So we're stuck already with this "peace plan." Meanwhile Assad is stepping up his war against the "freedom fighters" and Russia is boosting arms shipments to help Assad do so. Talk about a kooky week.
