The Associated Press: US, Russia fail to bridge gaps on Syria
The United States and Russia failed on Friday to bridge differences over a plan to ease Syrian President Bashar Assad out of power, end violence and create a new government. That set the stage for the potential collapse of a key multinational conference that was to have endorsed the proposal.

Aviation Week: Obama may use Assad’s fall to disguise Iran strike
In the Middle East, the military alert declared by Saudi King Abdullah Thursday was still in effect Saturday. Saudi forces continue to stream to the Jordanian and Iraqi borders and Jordanian, Turkish and Syrian army units are on the move, as debkafile reported Friday:

The Syrian crisis was Friday, June 29, on a knife edge between a Western-Arab-Turkish military offensive in the next 48 hours and a big power accord to ward it off.

Iran: There will be war – and we’ll win
Just days after the breakdown of talks with the West over Iran’s nuclear program, the deputy chief commander of the Revolutionary Guards announced that there soon will be war – and that Allah will ensure his forces are victorious.

According to DEBKAfile WWIII may well start tomorrow - June 30th

Potential Western-Arab military intervention in Syria is sure to be countered by Syria-Iran-Russia-maybe China. This would be a battle only adequately described as WWIII. Not to mention that Iran and Syria would use the 'opportunity' for an all out war against Israel, the region's favorite scapegoat. And if Israel becomes embroiled, then Divine intervention takes over and we'll have a battle of Biblical proportions.

US-Russian concurrence on a plan for Assad’s removal could avert the operation. The failure of their talks would spell a worsening of the Syrian crisis and precipitate Western-Arab military intervention, which according to military sources in the Gulf is scheduled for launch Saturday, June 30.

Israel is back in her land and the time of the Gentiles ended in June, 1967. The prophet Daniel's Time, times and half a time prophecies have been fulfilled in our generation. The timing of this next world war, whether it potentially starts tomorrow per DEBKAfile, or slightly later, will in my opinion be of Biblical proportions, potentially leading directly to the end of this age. We are that close. It is that significant.

Egypt, Syria and Israel

Isaiah 19

This message came to me concerning Egypt:
Look! The Lord is advancing against Egypt,
    riding on a swift cloud.
The idols of Egypt tremble.
The hearts of the Egyptians melt with fear.
I will make Egyptian fight against Egyptian—
    brother against brother
neighbor against neighbor,
    city against city,
    province against province.
The Egyptians will lose heart,
and I will confuse their plans.
They will plead with their idols for wisdom
and call on spirits, mediums, and those who consult the spirits of the dead.
I will hand Egypt over
    to a hard, cruel master.
A fierce king will rule them,”
says the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
The waters of the Nile will fail to rise and flood the fields.
The riverbed will be parched and dry.
The canals of the Nile will dry up,
and the streams of Egypt will stink
    with rotting reeds and rushes.
All the greenery along the riverbank
and all the crops along the river
will dry up and blow away.
The fishermen will lament for lack of work.
Those who cast hooks into the Nile will groan,
and those who use nets will lose heart.
There will be no flax for the harvesters,
    no thread for the weavers.
10 They will be in despair,
and all the workers will be sick at heart.
11 What fools are the officials of Zoan!
Their best counsel to the king of Egypt is stupid and wrong.
Will they still boast to Pharaoh of their wisdom?
Will they dare brag about all their wise ancestors?
12 Where are your wise counselors, Pharaoh?
Let them tell you what God plans,
what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is going to do to Egypt.
13 The officials of Zoan are fools,
and the officials of Memphis are deluded.
The leaders of the people
    have led Egypt astray.
14 The Lord has sent a spirit of foolishness on them,
so all their suggestions are wrong.
They cause Egypt to stagger
like a drunk in his vomit.
15 There is nothing Egypt can do.
    All are helpless—
the head and the tail,
the noble palm branch and the lowly reed.
16 In that day the Egyptians will be as weak as women. They will cower in fear beneath the upraised fist of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. 17 Just to speak the name of Israel will terrorize them, for the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has laid out his plans against them.
18 In that day five of Egypt’s cities will follow the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. They will even begin to speak Hebrew, the language of Canaan. One of these cities will be Heliopolis, the City of the Sun.
19 In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the heart of Egypt, and there will be a monument to the Lord at its border. 20 It will be a sign and a witness that the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is worshiped in the land of Egypt. When the people cry to the Lord for help against those who oppress them, he will send them a savior who will rescue them. 21 The Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians. Yes, they will know the Lord and will give their sacrifices and offerings to him. They will make a vow to the Lord and will keep it. 22 The Lord will strike Egypt, and then he will bring healing. For the Egyptians will turn to the Lord, and he will listen to their pleas and heal them.
23 In that day Egypt and Assyria will be connected by a highway. The Egyptians and Assyrians will move freely between their lands, and they will both worship God. 24 And Israel will be their ally. The three will be together, and Israel will be a blessing to them. 25 For the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will say, “Blessed be Egypt, my people. Blessed be Assyria, the land I have made. Blessed be Israel, my special possession!”
Islamic world must have nuclear weapons, says Iran
Iran is now telling the world that in order to confront aggression from America and Israel, it must have nuclear weapons...

In February, Forghani laid out the legal case for the annihilation of Israel and all Jewish people. That treatise, which ran in all the Iranian regime’s media outlets, openly called for a pre-emptive strike on Israel.

Iran musing over how to destroy the Jews
This has Gog&Magog written all over it
I revealed a shocking piece “Ayatollah: Kill All Jews, Annihilate Israel,” in which a well-known strategist within the Iranian government introduced a new doctrine not only to destroy Israel in a preemptive attack, but to commit to genocide and kill the Jewish people.

Psalm 83

A song. A psalm of Asaph.

O God, do not be silent!
    Do not be deaf.
Do not be quiet, O God.
Don’t you hear the uproar of your enemies?
Don’t you see that your arrogant enemies are rising up?
They devise crafty schemes against your people;
they conspire against your precious ones.
“Come,” they say, “let us wipe out Israel as a nation.
We will destroy the very memory of its existence.”
Yes, this was their unanimous decision.
They signed a treaty as allies against you—
these Edomites and Ishmaelites;
    Moabites and Hagrites;
Gebalites, Ammonites, and Amalekites;
and people from Philistia and Tyre.
Assyria has joined them, too,
and is allied with the descendants of Lot. Interlude
Do to them as you did to the Midianites
and as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River.
10 They were destroyed at Endor,
and their decaying corpses fertilized the soil.
11 Let their mighty nobles die as Oreb and Zeeb did.
Let all their princes die like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 for they said, “Let us seize for our own use
    these pasturelands of God!”
13 O my God, scatter them like tumbleweed,
    like chaff before the wind!
14 As a fire burns a forest
and as a flame sets mountains ablaze,
15 chase them with your fierce storm;
    terrify them with your tempest.
16 Utterly disgrace them
until they submit to your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be ashamed and terrified forever.
    Let them die in disgrace.
18 Then they will learn that you alone are called the Lord,
that you alone are the Most High,
    supreme over all the earth.

Iran threatens to close strait if new sanctions begin
With the failure of negotiations between Iran and six world powers last week, the Islamic regime now says it has the right, under international law, to close the Strait of Hormuz to oil tanker traffic should an embargo on Iran’s oil go into effect July 1.

New Egyptian President Promises 'Death in the Name of Allah is our Goal'
The new president of Egypt, Mohammed Morsi, said in May 2012 – just a month before being confirmed in his office – reportedly said “The Koran is our constitution, the Prophet is our leader, jihad is our path and death in the name of Allah is our goal.”
Obama rebuffs Erdogan’s appeal to lead Turkey in Syria attack
Ankara is more than ready to hit back at Syria, just as Jerusalem has been standing prepared for military action against Iran’s nuclear program. But both are held back by President Obama.

It seems the keys to start WWIII (etc.) are in Barack Hussein Obama's hands at the moment. Something doesn't sound right about that.

Obsession with Iran obscures the bigger threat
The prospect of an Iranian bomb is said to be unthinkably dangerous because of the country's connections to terrorist groups, its hostility to the West and Israel, the risk it will spread nuclear technology and the prospect of a regional arms race. And yet, almost all these considerations apply even more forcibly to Pakistan.

Pakistan supplied nuclear technology to North Korea, Libya and Iran.

Founders of Hamas Rule Egypt

Muslim Brotherhood's Muhammed Morsi is president of Egypt
Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood has achieved the goal set at its foundation 84 years ago. Its candidate Mohammed Morsi was declared Sunday afternoon, June 24, victor of last week’s presidential election runoff with 51.73 percent...

Although elected more or less democratically, Morsi and his party are expected to turn the Egyptian revolution into the cornerstone of an Islamic state more closely akin to the Islamic Republic of Iran than the democratic, secular state envisioned by the revolutionaries when they fought for Mubarak’s overthrow.

Egyptian beats pregnant wife to death for not voting for Mursi
...and more Muslim acts in the name of Allah coming soon.

In light of when we are living, time to post this again...

With all that is going on in Egypt, Syria, Iran, and the Gaza it is important to realize the significance of the time we're living in and not be distracted by the unimportant. We are in the very last days. In fact, Daniel's "time, times and half a time" prophesies have already been fulfilled. We are that close.

Israel's enemies are surrounding her, but she is far from forgotten by the God of Jacob/Israel. Expect amazing things directly ahead, and most importantly - prepare your hearts.

The Two Times + a Half

I never noticed this about Daniel's prophesies until I read it in Ellis Skolfield's book, but is it merely coincidental that there are exactly 2,500 years between Daniel's visions in Daniel 7:25 and Daniel 12:7, and Israel's rebirth as a nation in 1948, and Israel's conquering of Jerusalem in 1967??!! The number of years between when Daniel was given the visions, and the significant dates in Israel's history of 1948 and 1967 , is 2,500 years!! This is both amazing and embarrassing that 99.9% of modern evangelical Christians didn't pick this up. Daniel's "time, times and half a time" is not 3.5 years, it is describing 2.5 "times", or 2,500 years.

From the Tanach:
Daniel 12:7 - And I heard the man clad in linen, who was above the waters of the river, and he raised his right hand and his left hand to the heavens, and he swore by the Life of the world, that in the time of [two] times and a half, and when they have ended shattering the strength of the holy people, all these will end.
Daniel 12:
10 Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined by these trials. But the wicked will continue in their wickedness, and none of them will understand. Only those who are wise will know what it means.
Search it out for yourselves. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you discern this message:

Isaiah 18:
All you people of the world,
everyone who lives on the earth—
when I raise my battle flag on the mountain, look!
When I blow the ram’s horn, listen!
For the Lord has told me this:
I will watch quietly from my dwelling place—
as quietly as the heat rises on a summer day,
or as the morning dew forms during the harvest.
Even before you begin your attack,
while your plans are ripening like grapes,
the Lord will cut off your new growth with pruning shears.
He will snip off and discard your spreading branches.
Your mighty army will be left dead in the fields
for the mountain vultures and wild animals.
The vultures will tear at the corpses all summer.
The wild animals will gnaw at the bones all winter.

Army tanks posted at Egyptian election committee HQ ahead of vote results
DEBKAfile June 24, 2012, 2:57 PM (GMT+02:00)
The Higher Presidential Election Commission promises to announce final results of the presidential runoff at 15:00 local time (13:00 GMT) Sunday. The choice between Muslim Brotherhood candidate Muhammed Mursi and Mubarak veteran Ahmed Shafiq have deeply polarized Egypt. Brotherhood followers are massing in Tahrir Square and unlikely to heed the Supreme Military Council’s appeal to both camps to accept the official results. They are demanding the council step down after assuming sweeping new powers.

That's right: not water cannons. Tanks. This will get ugly.

This week, in a first-time-ever event, a delegation of central bankers from Africa was in Israel to learn about ways to improve their economies in order to make them safer, more attractive to investors, and more productive. In fact, said Professor Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile, the director-general of the Central Bank of Uganda, “I can’t think of a better role model for my country to follow than Israel. As far as I’m concerned, Israel provides a far better model for us than the US or Europe.”

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Iran’s nuclear program: When might Israel attack. - Slate Magazine
"Everyone knows that the Iranians are trying to reach nuclear military capability... they are trying to reach a certain redundancy, or what I call the "zone of immunity."
"It means they reach a situation where, through redundancies, neither Israel and probably not even America can do anything surgically to block it. Once Khomeini reaches this kind of situation, he can be practically assured that he [has] crossed the point of no return and will end up more like North Korea or Pakistan, rather than like Iraq or Syria."
"Then comes the issue of terror. The Iranians are sponsoring terror among the Baluchi tribe in Afghanistan, among the insurgents in Iraq—they are everywhere. They are trying to raise their profile in Cuba, in Nicaragua, and Venezuela, of course. They have a global aspiration, and the world won't be the same place once they turn nuclear. Whoever thinks that it's complicated to deal with Iran right now, as some think tank leaders are writing: Just close your eyes and think what it will mean to deal with these very same issues once Iran turns nuclear as a result of an absence of political will. It will be much more dangerous, much more costly in terms of human lives and financial resources. And it will become nuclear if the world will not be tough enough to stop it."

Palestinian Hamas fires 4 Qassams at Ashkelon

DEBKAfile June 19, 2012, 8:55 AM (GMT+02:00)
The missiles exploded on open ground. Hamas said the attack Tuesday was retaliation for “Palestinian deaths at IDF hands.” Monday, six Palestinian terrorists died or were killed in the course of attacks on Israeli targets on both sides of the Gaza-Israel border. Following the Hamas notice, Israeli locations around the Gaza Strip went on elevated alert, their population advised to keep close to protected areas. Overnight, the Israeli air force hit a group of Palestinians planting explosives on the border opposite Kissufim.

This is where we're going

Russia flies anti-air, anti-ship missiles to Assad as its fleet heads to Tartus

Russia is, in a word, supplying Bashar Assad, his regime and his army, with the very weapons they may need for warding off Western and Arab air efforts to impose a no-fly zone over Syria, while at the same time enabling him to repel seaborne assaults by his foes from the Mediterranean.

The Russians are not trying to conceal their military intervention in Syria in support of the Assad regime.

Joel 3:
“At the time of those events,” says the Lord,
“when I restore the prosperity of Judah and Jerusalem (Israel independence declared May 14, 1948)
I will gather the armies of the world
    into the valley of Jehoshaphat.
There I will judge them
for harming my people, my special possession,
for scattering my people among the nations,
and for dividing up my land.
They threw dice to decide which of my people
    would be their slaves.
They traded boys to obtain prostitutes
and sold girls for enough wine to get drunk.
“What do you have against me, Tyre and Sidon and you cities of Philistia? Are you trying to take revenge on me? If you are, then watch out! I will strike swiftly and pay you back for everything you have done. You have taken my silver and gold and all my precious treasures, and have carried them off to your pagan temples. You have sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks, so they could take them far from their homeland.
“But I will bring them back from all the places to which you sold them, and I will pay you back for everything you have done. I will sell your sons and daughters to the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the people of Arabia, a nation far away. I, the Lord, have spoken!”
Say to the nations far and wide:
    “Get ready for war!
Call out your best warriors.
Let all your fighting men advance for the attack.
10 Hammer your plowshares into swords
and your pruning hooks into spears.
Train even your weaklings to be warriors.
11 Come quickly, all you nations everywhere.
    Gather together in the valley.”
And now, O Lord, call out your warriors!
12 “Let the nations be called to arms.
Let them march to the valley of Jehoshaphat.
There I, the Lord, will sit
to pronounce judgment on them all.

13 Swing the sickle,
    for the harvest is ripe.
Come, tread the grapes,
    for the winepress is full.
The storage vats are overflowing
with the wickedness of these people.”
14 Thousands upon thousands are waiting in the valley of decision.
There the day of the Lord will soon arrive.
15 The sun and moon will grow dark,
and the stars will no longer shine.
16 The Lord’s voice will roar from Zion
    and thunder from Jerusalem,
and the heavens and the earth will shake.
But the Lord will be a refuge for his people,
a strong fortress for the people of Israel.

The world's armies are gathering (of all places) on the eastern shores of the Mediterranean Sea, just north of Israel. Divine inspiration aside, it would otherwise be very strange to imagine the entire world's attention drawn to these shores even 100 years ago, but now with Israel re-established in 1948 (Joel 3:1) it's a whole different story and the rest of Joel chapter 3 is forming before our eyes. Soon this war will swing down on Israel. The scapegoat for the entire region. Only this time Israel will not be dispersed and will once and for all be victorious with Jesus Christ as her king, and it's to the winepress of God's wrath for the rest of them.

By the time he wrapped up his speech with a rendition of Amazing Grace, one got the feeling that this was a modern-day, and perhaps more humorous version, of what Old Testament prophets regularly did to Kings of Israel: deliver brutally honest messages from Yahweh with little regard for their personal safety. After being assured of Chinese support, Moscow literally fired two warning shots in the direction of Washington. DEBKAfile is calling it
The battle against the LBL Beast of Islam is expanding

Obama speeds up limited air strike, no-fly zones preparations for Syria:
US President Barack Obama has ordered the US Navy and Air Force to accelerate preparations for a limited air offensive against the Assad regime and the imposition of no-fly zones over Syria.

As I've stated many, many times on this blog, this is where the battle against the Islamic LBL beast of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13:2 is going. Ushering the end of this age...

Revelation 16 [with my comments]:
Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon [satan], out of the mouth of the [LBL] beast [of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13:2] and out of the mouth of the false prophet [Who's the most popular false prophet out there? Answer: Mohammad and his 1.3 billion deceived followers]. 14They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

15"Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed."
16Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

PA to pursue non-member state status at UN?
"Yes, 45 years later, Israel may have proven that it is the strongest army in the region, but is it safer? Are its prospects for the future more promising? It does not seem so,"

Israel's prospects have never been brighter and have nothing to do with swapping land for peace with the mythical Palestinians.

Jeremiah 30:

The Lord gave another message to Jeremiah. He said,
“This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Write down for the record everything I have said to you, Jeremiah. For the time is coming when I will restore the fortunes of my people of Israel and Judah. I will bring them home to this land that I gave to their ancestors, and they will possess it again. I, the Lord, have spoken!”
This is the message the Lord gave concerning Israel and Judah. This is what the Lord says:
“I hear cries of fear;
there is terror and no peace.
Now let me ask you a question:
Do men give birth to babies?
Then why do they stand there, ashen-faced,
    hands pressed against their sides
    like a woman in labor?
In all history there has never been such a time of terror.
It will be a time of trouble for my people Israel.
Yet in the end they will be saved!
For in that day,”
says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies,
“I will break the yoke from their necks
    and snap their chains.
Foreigners will no longer be their masters.
For my people will serve the Lord their God
and their king descended from David—
the king I will raise up for them.
10 “So do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant;
    do not be dismayed, Israel,”
    says the Lord.
“For I will bring you home again from distant lands,
and your children will return from their exile.
Israel will return to a life of peace and quiet,
and no one will terrorize them.
