Army tanks posted at Egyptian election committee HQ ahead of vote results
DEBKAfile June 24, 2012, 2:57 PM (GMT+02:00)
The Higher Presidential Election Commission promises to announce final results of the presidential runoff at 15:00 local time (13:00 GMT) Sunday. The choice between Muslim Brotherhood candidate Muhammed Mursi and Mubarak veteran Ahmed Shafiq have deeply polarized Egypt. Brotherhood followers are massing in Tahrir Square and unlikely to heed the Supreme Military Council’s appeal to both camps to accept the official results. They are demanding the council step down after assuming sweeping new powers.

That's right: not water cannons. Tanks. This will get ugly.

“I will make Egyptian fight against Egyptian—
    brother against brother,
neighbor against neighbor,
    city against city,
    province against province.
