Israeli minister threatens Iran JERUSALEM, June 6 (Reuters) - An Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites looks "unavoidable" given the apparent failure of sanctions to deny Tehran technology with bomb-making potential, one of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's deputies said on Friday.

An undetectable route to Iran
Imagine this: Ten fighter jets take off from a base in northern Israel, fly over Jordan, Iraq and into Iran to bomb air-defense missile systems, radar stations and nuclear facilities. They then leave Iranian airspace safely without sustaining any enemy fire.

US looks to increase Israeli deterrence
US House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Howard Berman said he was open to removing the restriction on F-22 sales to boost Israeli deterrence...The defense establishment has long eyed the stealth F-22 "Raptor" as a bulwark to Israel's air capabilities, but a US law banning its sale abroad has prevented Israel from acquiring the top-of-the-line plane.

israel is in a pickle. it faces an enemy who has promised to "wipe it off of the map," but has only two ways to deal with the problem.

1) an unconventional attack. it could lob over a couple of nuclear tipped missles and take out iran's atomic potential. that would make israel even more of an international pariah, if that were possible. the US itself would have trouble defending that. the, er, "fallout" from that would be immense.

2) a conventional attack. the probem with that is that it would be almost impossible, with israel's current arsenal, to do meaningful damage to iran's nuclear program. israel would get little out of the attack and still be the afore mentioned pariah.

the only way i see is israel attacking iran's means of nuke developement -- its money -- its oil. it's affect on oil prices would still cause a lot of consternation in the world, but not a few (oil producing) countries would both welcome the reduced threat from iran and the resulting increase in crude prices.

I personally think this Iranian individual needs to be stopped at all costs...I feel sorry for the Iranian people but all I can say is get out while you can. God Bless Israel and America.
