IDF to show US nuclear data on Iran
Disappointed after failing to make their case on Iran and influence the outcome of the United States's National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) released this week, Military Intelligence will present its hard core evidence on the Islamic Republic's nuclear program on Sunday to the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff during a rare visit he will be making to Israel.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is the senior ranking member of the U.S. armed forces. He is the principal military adviser to President Bush.

Just 'thinking out loud' here:

  1. U.S. abruptly steps back, stops beating Iran war drum.
  2. Israel has no choice but to bomb Iran's nuclear and military facilities alone, or face Holocaust II - eventual annihilation (or so Israel might think)
  3. Iran attacks Israel through Hamas, Hezb'allah proxies.
  4. Israel fight back on three or four fronts: Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Iran.
  5. Syria sees opportune time to attack Israel to recapture the Golan Heights.
  6. China and Russia begin to flex muscle. They don't like Israel messing with Iran, their major oil and nuclear trading partner, don't like U.S. interference in the Middle East by backing Israel with $Billions in weapons sales.
  7. War escalates with Egypt, Jordan, Saudi's and eventually the West joining in.
  8. Gog&Magog/Armageddon begins.
  9. Jesus Christ the Messiah returns.
  10. Ezekiel 39:17-29
Right now the world is at the preparation stage:

Joel 3:
9 Say to the nations far and wide:
“Get ready for war!
Call out your best warriors.
Let all your fighting men advance for the attack.
10 Hammer your plowshares into swords
and your pruning hooks into spears.
Train even your weaklings to be warriors.
11 Come quickly, all you nations everywhere.
Gather together in the valley.”

And now, O Lord, call out your warriors!

pretty interesting. what if iran goaded israel into a war with its neighbors. syria lets fly with some chem warheads and israel leaves damascus a smoking hole.

china and russia's interests don't necessarily coincide. russia want's a high oil price and thus has an interest in continued conflict. china, and other export driven asian nations, lose $$$ two ways when oil goes up -- their own costs rise, and the customers in its exports markets have less to spend on it products.

maybe some major event is gonna happen to get every nation to come in and "ensure" that the conflict doesn't stop the flow of oil.

i always thought there was going to be two wars -- gog/magog, and then, later, armageddon. is that not true?

I think that the truth is "we don't know for sure". We were after all wrong about the info we got on Iraq and that was because Saddam Hussane wanted it to be wrong. Now if Iran is really interested in peace why are they developing all these rockets with each one more powerful and with a longer range. Nobody will bomb Iran because they have OIL. So lets face it the rockets are for Israel. What goes on these rockets is any body's guess, but Iran has any thing but peaceful intentions!

LS,

Regarding your question about Armageddon and Gog&Magog being different or the same, I answered that question for someone else back on July 4th. Here's the answer I gave then (with a few edits):

Hi George,

First of all - thanks for visiting my blog.

I think the Gog & Magog battle in Ezekiel 38 is Armageddon because of the following verses:

1. Nations will come to recognize Jesus as Lord:

Ezekiel 38:16
you will come up against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the earth. In the latter days I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me, when through you, O Gog, I display my holiness before their eyes.

Ezekiel 38:20
the fish of the sea, and the birds of the air, and the animals of the field, and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all human beings that are on the face of the earth, shall quake at my presence…

Ezekiel 38:23
So I will display my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.

These verses tell me that all nations will experience the presence of the Lord. I believe this is the “presence” of Jesus at his second coming. How else will the world recognize Jesus as Lord than by his physical return? Put another way, without the Lord’s physical presence (38:20), unbelievers will write off Israel’s Gog & Magog victory as a complete fluke – much like the War of Independence, 6-day, and Yom Kippur wars were.

2. Israel will recognize Jesus as Lord

Ezekiel 39:7 and 8
My holy name I will make known among my people Israel; and I will not let my holy name be profaned any more.; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel 8 It has come! It has happened, says the Lord GOD. This is the day of which I have spoken..

I had to add verse 8 here, because notice it says: “…the day of which I have spoken”. What day do the prophets repeatedly warn about? Almost certainly it is The Day of the Lord, or Day of the Lord’s wrath. The day of the Lord's return.

Ezekiel 39:22
The house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God, from that day forward.

Israel will not come to realize the Lord until Christ returns physically to wipe out her enemies. And verse 22 says from that day forward Israel will have a restored relationship with the Lord.

3. Reference to a great earthquake

Ezekiel 38:19-20
19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.

Compare this with the description of Armageddon in Revelation 16:18:

Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake.

Compare this with the day of the Lord descriptions in Joel 3:16:
The Lord’s voice will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem,
and the heavens and the earth will shake.

4. The battle is followed by Israel’s complete restoration and peace

Ezekiel 39:25-26, 29
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name. 26 They shall forget their shame, and all the treachery they have practiced against me, when they live securely in their land with no one to make them afraid,

29 and I will never again hide my face from them, when I pour out my spirit upon the house of Israel, says the Lord GOD.

These verses tell me that Israel’s restoration to the Lord will be complete, and that Israel will live in complete peace after this war (vs. 26). This also means that no Anti-Christ (AC) will hereinafter "come to the world scene" and persecute them.

Incidentally, if you're a believer in the "traditional" theory that last sentence will likely come as a shock to you, so if you read my website you’ll see that I think today’s church has completely misunderstood the AC. Read Ellis Skolfield’s The False Prophet (link is on my blog) to get what I think is a more accurate interpretation of Daniel’s days prophesies, and a more reasonable explanation of the AC.

The "Days Prophesies" in my opinion have also been completely misunderstood by today’s church. The church has missed the fact that Daniel's prophesies in Daniel 7:25 and Daniel 12:7 were given EXACTLY 2,500 years before Israel became a nation in 1948, and Israel captured all of Jerusalem in 1967 respectively. The church has completely misunderstood the phrase "time, times, and half a time" and thus has pushed it off to a future, yet unfulfilled (they say) Daniel's 70th week, with no good explanation of the gap between week 69 and 70.

I don’t believe these days prophesies are going to be fulfilled in Daniel’s 70th week. Once again, see the charts on the right side of this blog, and have a look at The False Prophet book if you're interested.

LS,

I forgot to add...the following Jewish organization also sees the two wars of Gog&Magog and Armageddon as being the same. See this video:

Gog-U-Magog The War to End All Wars

New_Beginning said...

Hi End_Times,
I've been doing a lot of reading from the Bible and a bunch of web sites interpreting the bible. The only thing that I'm sure of is that a war is coming, and after that war the world will never be the same.

The struggle that I have right now is will how I prepare for these events. I don't believe packing up the family and heading o the hills is the right answer, yet standing at the shore and watching the hurricane role in doesn't seem quite right either.

Suggestions?

I've made preparations by storing up some extra food and water, but I haven't built a bunker in the back yard by any means. Trust in the Lord to keep you safe and ultimately to save you from God's coming wrath.

1 Thessalonians 5:
9 For God decided to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. 10 He died for us so that we can live with him forever, whether we are dead or alive at the time of his return. 11 So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36

Make some preparation and trust in the Lord. That's all you need to do.

Thanks,
I'm doing both and then some. My work int he Embassy involves Emergency Action contingencies. It gives me more resources than the average person or household. But as you and I both know the wrath of god can be far greater that what any man can prepare for. I have the additional burdon of preparing for the unsaved as well. Many of whom are oblivious to the coming storm.

Good luck with that, NB.

New PA Law: Negotiating Jerusalem is an Act of Treason
by Hillel Fendel

The PA legislature has passed the first reading of a law forbidding any concessions in, or even negotiations regarding, Jerusalem.

Ahmed Bahar, a leading Hamas member and the Deputy Speaker of the Palestinian Authority parliament, announced Thursday that the body had passed a first reading of a "Jerusalem bill." The legislation, proposed by Hamas parliament member Ahmed Abu Hilbiya, absolutely bans giving up any part of Jerusalem.

The bill states that Jerusalem, according to its "borders recognized during the period of the Islamic Khalifate," is "Palestinian, Arab, Islamic land." It further avers that all of Jerusalem, "including its archaeological sites and the sites that are holy to Islam and Christianity, are waqf (dedicated in sanctity) for Palestinian, Arab and Islamic generations." This would appear to include not only the Temple Mount, but also the Western Wall, the Jewish Quarter, and the City of David.

The new PA bill also states that it is forbidden to discuss, cede, or negotiate over any part of Jerusalem, or hold a referendum on this matter - and that if such negotiations or votes are held, they are null and void in advance. Anyone who violates the above provisions on behalf of the PA will be considered guilty of treason, the bill states, and will be liable to the relevant punishments.

The PA legislature will convene "soon," Bahar said, to pass the law's second reading, after which it will be passed on to PA chairman and Fatah chief Mahmoud Abbas for his signature.

The Storm Builds............

The PA can pass any Bill they want, but the only God has an entirely different plan as laid out centuries ago by His prophets:

Message to the PA: "Come and get it!"

4 Gaza and Ashkelon will be abandoned,
Ashdod and Ekron torn down.
5 And what sorrow awaits you Philistines[a]
who live along the coast and in the land of Canaan,
for this judgment is against you, too!
The Lord will destroy you
until not one of you is left.
6 The Philistine coast will become a wilderness pasture,
a place of shepherd camps
and enclosures for sheep and goats.
7 The remnant of the tribe of Judah will pasture there.
They will rest at night in the abandoned houses in Ashkelon.
For the Lord their God will visit his people in kindness
and restore their prosperity again.

Judgment against Moab and Ammon

8 “I have heard the taunts of the Moabites
and the insults of the Ammonites,
mocking my people
and invading their borders.
9 Now, as surely as I live,”
says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel,
“Moab and Ammon will be destroyed—
destroyed as completely as Sodom and Gomorrah.
Their land will become a place of stinging nettles,
salt pits, and eternal desolation.
The remnant of my people will plunder them
and take their land.”

10 They will receive the wages of their pride,
for they have scoffed at the people of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
11 The Lord will terrify them
as he destroys all the gods in the land.
Then nations around the world will worship the Lord,
each in their own land.
