My conflict with "Christmas": Why Christmas is so Important to God

Daniel 12:7 talks about the gap between the "3rd year of Cyrus" and 1967 - that is, it takes us from when Daniel wrote Daniel 12:7, and the year 1967 when Israel retook Jerusalem. Hmmm, this is getting interesting, if nothing else.

The National Intelligence Estimate report just made war with Iran more likely
The report encourages Iran to pursue nuclear weapons more agressively since they think effective sanctions are now a non-possibility. That will cause Israel's IAF and the Bush Administration to act sooner against the unthinkable , but required, solution to "avoid", in George Bush's own words, WWIII. Ironically, I'm betting US and Israel's action against Iran will actually hasten WWIII/Armageddon/War of Gog & Magog. The west is being called to Armageddon as per Revelation 16 by the LBL beast, and by my count only about 5 people in the world see it coming.

Let's face it, oil rich Iran is not spending disproportionate amounts of its economic GDP to research nuclear power generation.

Israeli official criticizes US handling of Iranian threat
"Six years have passed since the attack on the Twin Towers, and the success rate (of the war on terror) is debatable," the official said. "Osama bin Laden is still on the loose. What is happening in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan raises some questions as to how far we've really come in the battle against this 'triangle'.

That "triangle" is the lion-bear-leopard (LBL) beast of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13:2. If Bush doesn't do anything about the LBL beast, I don't have much hope for the Democrats to do anything about it either. That then takes us much quicker to Revelation 16, where this beast calls the world to Armageddon. This doesn't fit with "traditional eschatology", but ask yourself: who already has an abomination of desolation on the Temple Mount, saying that Jesus is not the Son of God? Answer: Spend some time on, and think about this LINK. Islam is completely willing to tell you what they think of Jesus, who ranks in their minds as a prophet much lower than Mohammad. They don't mind if you blaspheme the name of THEIR "prophet Jesus", but don't touch their "holy prophet Mohammad". Don't even name a teddy bear 'Mohammad' in their countries because it could mean your head.

Revelation 16:
13Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon [satan], out of the mouth of the [LBL] beast [of Revelation 13] and out of the mouth of the false prophet [Who's the most popular false prophet out there? I've never been a big "signs and wonders" guy, but lately I've intentionally asked God for confirmation that we are in the last days, and that I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing in my service to Him. Another blogger (I'll protect his anonymity) pointed me to an online discussion forum where an individual asked God for a sign of Christ's return, and subsequently he kept waking up at what he called "countdown times". For example at 4:32 am, 3:21 am, etc. This, he thinks, is indicative of Christ's soon return - that is: 'we're into the final countdown' before 1 Corinthians 15:51-52.

In Acts 8, the Holy Spirit talked to Philip in a clear and unambiguous way. Philip heard from the Holy Spirit like He was another person standing right next to him. Philip received clear instructions. Acts 2 says to me that we should expect the Holy Spirit to speak in a similar way in these last days.

On December 7th, I asked God to show me if my ministry of end time focus is worthwhile. I asked Him to show me by waking me up with a so-called "countdown time". I woke up that morning at 4:32am. Was this my subconscious playing tricks on me? Well, my clock is about 12 feet from my bed, and I don't have a hope of subconsciously seeing my clock unless I physically get up out of bed and put my glasses on first. I don't see my clock unless I make a conscious effort to see it.

Last night I meditated on God's Word before bed, and got down on my knees and thanked God for safety and protection over my family, and thanked him for caring enough for me to ensure that I have a way to spend eternity with Him (what a thought: that God is even mindful of little old us!). Incidentally, I get on my knees and pray face down like the Muslims do 5 times a day. I figure if Muslims can pray to a false god 5 times a day on their knees and face, CERTAINLY I can pray on my knees and face to the only true God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel (amen??). When I prayed, I casually asked God for a sign, if He thought I needed one, that what I'm jabbering about on this blog is useful and timely in His service (i.e. am I doing for Him now, what I'm supposed to be doing?). I didn't plead for a sign because I am already confident that God is actively working out his plan for this world, and that we are in the end times. I just prayed that if God wants to give me confirmation, then please show me.

I got up this morning when my clock said '3:47am', which didn't seem significant in the least, except for the fact that it was really early. It didn't seem significant until I figured out that every other clock in my house read: 2:47am. Somehow my clock in my bedroom was put forward by one hour.

This was pretty surprising to me because you have to realize that I was raised in a VERY conservative German, Baptist church, and signs and wonders are not what I was raised to, frankly, believe in in our present day. However, I have this thought: since we see the end time Gog&Magog war forming in the Middle East, and regathered Israel is being picked on by Ahmadinejad and Islam as per Psalm 83, let's be open to God's Holy Spirit and expect to hear from Him like Acts 2 says. I think God is willing to speak to sincere Christ-followers like He perhaps hasn't spoken since the Acts 2 Pentecost.

We got to remember to pray 1 John 4:1-2 when receiving these signs too, because the Devil is very crafty. Praise the Lord, Christ has conquered death and the Devil, and we can have victory just by asking and believing in Christ!

The PA legislature has passed the first reading of a law forbidding any concessions in, or even negotiations regarding, Jerusalem.

Ahmed Bahar, a leading Hamas member and the Deputy Speaker of the Palestinian Authority parliament, announced Thursday that the body had passed a first reading of a "Jerusalem bill." The legislation, proposed by Hamas parliament member Ahmed Abu Hilbiya, absolutely bans giving up any part of Jerusalem.

Israeli ambassador to Britain: 'War with Iran may be unavoidable'

It must be clear that if Iran does not cooperate with the West on the nuclear issue, military confrontation will be unavoidable, incoming Israeli ambassador to Britain, Ron Prosor, was quoted as saying Sunday.

Prosor, who served as Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's senior adviser on Iran, told the Sunday Telegraph that Teheran could enrich enough uranium to make an atomic bomb by 2009.

IDF to show US nuclear data on Iran
Disappointed after failing to make their case on Iran and influence the outcome of the United States's National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) released this week, Military Intelligence will present its hard core evidence on the Islamic Republic's nuclear program on Sunday to the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff during a rare visit he will be making to Israel.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is the senior ranking member of the U.S. armed forces. He is the principal military adviser to President Bush.

7. War escalates with Egypt, Jordan, Saudi's and eventually the West joining in.
8. Gog&Magog/Armageddon begins.

The Flaws in the Iran Report by John Bolton
The headline finding -- that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003 -- is written in a way that guarantees the totality of the conclusions will be misread. In fact, there is little substantive difference between the conclusions of the 2005 NIE on Iran's nuclear capabilities and the 2007 NIE. Moreover, the distinction between "military" and "civilian" programs is highly artificial, since the enrichment of uranium, which all agree Iran is continuing, is critical to civilian and military uses. Indeed, it has always been Iran's "civilian" program that posed the main risk of a nuclear "breakout."

American intelligence agencies reversed their view about the status of Iran’s nuclear weapons program after they obtained notes last summer from the deliberations of Iranian military officials involved in the weapons development program, senior intelligence and government officials said on Wednesday.

NIE: An Abrupt About-Face
So, if it is true that Dr. Fingar played a leading role in crafting this latest NIE, then we are left with serious questions:

• Why did your opinion change so drastically in just four months time?

• Is the new intelligence or analysis really that good? Is it good enough to overturn your previous assessments? Or, has it never really been good enough to make a definitive assessment at all?

• Did your political or ideological leanings, or your policy preferences, or those of your colleagues, influence your opinion in any way?

'High Confidence' Games
The CIA's flip-flop on Iran is hardly reassuring.

As recently as 2005, the consensus estimate of our spooks was that "Iran currently is determined to develop nuclear weapons" and do so "despite its international obligations and international pressure." This was a "high confidence" judgment. The new NIE says Iran abandoned its nuclear program in 2003 "in response to increasing international scrutiny." This too is a "high confidence" conclusion. One of the two conclusions is wrong, and casts considerable doubt on the entire process by which these "estimates"--the consensus of 16 intelligence bureaucracies--are conducted and accorded gospel status.

Iran Leader Claims Win in Nuke Faceoff
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday called the dramatic U.S. turnaround in a new intelligence review a victory for Iran's nuclear program, suggesting it shows the success of his hard-line stance rejecting compromise.

With the release of the National Intelligence Estimate report, the U.S. is never going to get any new trade sanctions passed at the Security Council against Iran. Iran is "home free" to build and perfect its nuclear weapons, before attacking Israel, the pariah of all Muslims in the Middle East. Of course, Christ will come back to fight against Israel's enemies when they decide to attack. Soon.

'US report should not deter world'
The threat of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons must not be underestimated, was the message [Israeli] government officials sent out on Tuesday after the release of a US intelligence report claiming that Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003

Israel contradicts US findings on nuclear Iran
"It's apparently true that in 2003 Iran stopped pursuing its military nuclear programme for a time. But in our opinion, since then it has apparently continued that programme," Barak told army radio.

...The intelligence finding removes, "if nothing else, the urgency that we have to attack Iran, or knock out facilities", said Chuck Hagel, a Republican senator. "I don't think you can overstate the importance of this."

The following is a very interesting article that blogger New_Beginning pointed me to. I'm thinking this is probably why the U.S. is starting to back off Iran starting with it's "180 degree, U-turn National Intelligence Estimate report released yesterday. With the release of that report, Iran is now emboldened to continue on its course to pursue the destruction of Israel, "liberate" the Palestinians, and liberate al Quds (Jerusalem) from infidel hands in the name of Allah.

This sets up the perfect scenario for the Ezekiel 38-39 Gog and Magog War. The United States was the only impediment in Iran's plan to wipe out Israel. Now Ahmadinejad can freely try to wipe out Israel, and by so doing becoming a Muslim hero, who the Imam al Mahdi will richly reward when he returns with "the prophet Jesus" at his side...or so Mahmoud thinks.

Close to Armageddon
Charles Krauthammer wrote this in his September 21 Washington Post column: “Iran’s assets in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq are poised and ready. Ahmadinejad’s message is this: If anyone dares attack our nuclear facilities, we will fully activate our proxies, unleashing unrestrained destruction on Israel, moderate Arabs, Iraq and U.S. interests—in addition to the usual, such as mining the Strait of Hormuz and causing an acute oil crisis and worldwide recession.

The Strait of Hormuz is a six mile wide shipping lane where 25% of the world's oil flows through. It's no coincidence that the West's #1 enemy has an amazing vantage point over this major oil artery in these last days.

In a radical about-face, White House officials suddenly “discovered” Monday, Dec. 3, that Iran had halted it nuclear weapons program four years ago, but has continued to enrich uranium and could have enough material to build a bomb between 2010 and 2015. This “discovery” appeared in the latest National Intelligence Estimate, together with the comment that Iran seems less determined to develop nuclear arms than previously believed and is more vulnerable to international pressure.
