US drone kills at least 10 in Pakistan raid
At least 10 people have been killed in an air raid by a suspected US drone on a village in northwest Pakistan, local officials say.

Taliban leader plans White House attack

The commander of the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility yesterday for a deadly assault on a police academy and said the group was planning a terrorist attack on the White House that would "amaze" the world.

In an unusual step, the normally reclusive Baitullah Mehsud made a round of calls to media representatives and said Monday's attack on the outskirts of Lahore was retaliation for U.S. missile strikes against militants along the Afghan border.

Revelation 13:
1 Then I saw a beast rising up out of the sea. It had seven heads and ten horns, with ten crowns on its horns. And written on each head were names that blasphemed God. 2 This beast looked like a leopard, but it had the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion! And the dragon gave the beast his own power and throne and great authority.

The leopard-bear-lion beast in verse 2 describes the region that Daniel saw in his vision in Daniel 7. This region is known as today's Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Syria and Turkey, Pakistan etc. This region is the focal point of today's problems. The West is warring against Islam, which is based in this region.

Is this insane Taliban leader just blowing smoke when he threatens the White House with an Islamic strike? We don't know yet; most have written this threat off. But before we get too self assured, Revelation 13:2 reminds us that we're not just fighting flesh and blood here. We're entangled in a spiritual war against this figurative "dragon". The dragon is Satan, and Satan was created as a "...model of perfection, full of wisdom and exquisite in beauty. The LBL beast of Islam, the Taliban, Al Qaeda, etc. all possess the power and authority of Satan. While our leaders in the West are fighting against Satan with nothing but their bare hands and rhetorical words. I see little evidence that our leaders see this battle as a spiritual one, where we need to put on the whole armour of God.

Therefore can this seemingly insignificant Taliban leader really be a threat to the most guarded sanctuary in the world - the White House? Well if Western leaders are going into this battle spiritually naked, I'd say anything is possible, prepare for the worst.

This war isn't going away. It will only intensify until Christ comes to win it for His elect.

'Jerusalem: Center of the World' airs tomorrow on PBS
It's literally at the center of God's attention.

4 "I will watch quietly from my dwelling place— as quietly as the heat rises on a summer day, or as the morning dew forms during the harvest.”
