Assad has given final warning before using WMD, say Washington security sources
DEBKAfile July 20, 2012, 5:55 PM (GMT+02:00)

Security sources in Washington criticize the Obama administration for not treating seriously enough Bashar Assad’s threats to start using chemical and biological weapons against Syrian rebels and other Middle East targets if the revolt continues. “Assad has shown he means what he says,” those sources said.

IDF on alert, cancels weekend breaks over Syria
"Israel is also concerned that Assad – feeling his back against the wall – may decide to take Israel with him, and as a result fire everything he has at the Jewish state.

On Thursday, Defense Minister Ehud Barak toured the border with Syria and warned that Hezbollah might move Syrian chemical weapons to Lebanon."

Many Of Syria's Chemical Weapons May Have Come From Saddam Hussein's Iraq
"As the regime of Bashar Assad disintegrates, the security of his chemical arsenal is in jeopardy. The No. 2 general in Saddam Hussein's air force says they were the WMDs we didn't find in Iraq."

I don't understand all the factors with the world and the chaos we're in. In really simple terms can you explain what this last post means in relation to what the Bible says?

Thank you!

The Bible doesn't talk specifically about Assad's WMD (I don't think), but generally the Bible does indicate that Israel's enemies will try to attack and annihilate her, only to be wiped out themselves.

Regarding Syria, I especially like Isaiah 14, specifically:

Isaiah 14:
24 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has sworn this oath:
“It will all happen as I have planned.
It will be as I have decided.
25 I will break the Assyrians when they are in Israel;
I will trample them on my mountains.
My people will no longer be their slaves
nor bow down under their heavy loads.
26 I have a plan for the whole earth,
a hand of judgment upon all the nations.
27 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has spoken—
who can change his plans?
When his hand is raised,
who can stop him?”

Bible commentaries don't agree that "Assyria" is today's "Syria", but I think this chapter refers to the near future, and therefore the two are one and the same.

The Bible does say that Islam is the final enemy before the return of Christ. This is very convincingly documented in Ellis Skolfield's free pdf book The False Prophet.
