Isaiah 40

Comfort for God’s People
1 “Comfort, comfort my people,”
says your God.
2 “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem.
Tell her that her sad days are gone
and her sins are pardoned.
Yes, the Lord has punished her twice over
for all her sins.” 3 Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting,
“Clear the way through the wilderness
for the Lord!
Make a straight highway through the wasteland
for our God!
4 Fill in the valleys,
and level the mountains and hills.
Straighten the curves,
and smooth out the rough places.
5 Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed,
and all people will see it together.
The Lord has spoken!”

Such comforting words. I read your blog daily...sometimes twice a day just to make sure I don't miss anything. Keep up the good work on keeping us informed on the sad sad state of this world. One more thing...I really believe there is no turning back....what with all the stuff happening and this obama character on the prowl...again thank you for such comforting words...we need those these days :o) God bless

Kelly,

It's comforting to know that with all that's wrong with the world, and there's a long list, God is still in control.

It's very comforting to know that God foresaw Islam, Ahmadinejad, Hamas, Hezb'allah, and even Barack Obama coming from miles away. We have the advantage of seeing prophecy come alive in hindsight. It's only when we look back in time that we can go: "ah ha, that's what the prophets were talking about".

Earth-shattering events are right at hand, we could very much see them, but we can see them knowing our Father will take care of us no matter what.

Thanks for your encouraging words. God bless you.
