The Conservative Party won. No, the Conservative Party up here is more like the Democrats down there.

In my opinion there is no right-wing party in Canada: the Conservatives are just right of center but not really "right wing". As Canada continues its dramatic drift away from the Bible, our government is looking more like Europe every day. In other words - doomed to failure.

Canadian foreign policy will be status quo, but let's face it Canada doesn't have much/any sway in world affairs anyways. That's why I've been more closely watching the Obama-McCain showdown. I don't know why these two are fighting it out to become president. The next president is going to have almost insurmountable challenges in the next 4-8 years, not the least of which could very well be WWIII and complete economic collapse. I'd gladly hand over a job like that to somebody else.
