Floods, tornados, typhoons, earthquakes, economic collapse, rumours of war ...is it just me, or does it seem like the birth pangs are becoming more severe? I still think our generation will see monumental things that will change this age forever.
If you've read Ellis Skolfield's The False Prophet, you probably can't help but think that the generation following 1948 and 1967 (milestone dates in regathered Israel), could see the coming of the Messiah. It seems a bit surreal to write this, even to this Christian, but God's plan for Israel must almost be coming to completion, now that Israel is back in her land (though not all of her land).
Keep watch. Don't get tangled up in life's "light and momentary troubles" because in a flash those things will all be over (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

I've not had much time to post, but have been reading your site as often as I can. I am truly amazed by how rapidly global events are unfolding. Events that are truly "over the top". Yet the world is oblivious to the underlying cause.
As a gal on another blog so aptly put it, "Last night as I watched the devastation of China, the HORROR of it; the residue of the volcano in Chile; the famine and starvation in Egypt (the bread basket of the world, they're starving for a loaf of bread!) the despair of Myanmar; the death and destruction of tornadoes, flooding and fire here in America...I was literally shaken up inside with understanding of these global events. It was almost Biblical in it's nature ~ for 20 minutes I watched non-stop death and destruction and interspersed with each segment was the most shocking, lewd, sinful behavior I'd ever seen. Within the half hour of watching scenes of terror and destruction literally rocking this world, then would come another segment...first OJ ~ shamelessly mocking and taunting us and God with his murderous behavior, then another fire, another earthquake, then comes a woman who's written a manual for HOW to become an escort...then another famine would be shown, another sinking pit where the land is collapsing...then a bunch of naked people at a stadium or something..."
To the unsaved, the signs of the times are due to global warming, or over population, or the Mayan calandar, or some other new age chaos theory.
I was in Vienna Austria last week and hung out for a Saturday afternoon awaiting my evening flight. As I sipped my Starbucks coffee and watched the Austrians windowshop without a care in the world, a group of University students approached me and asked if they could interview me for a University project they were working on. I said, I' d try to answer their question.
The question was what did I think about "Economic Globalization?". My initial response was that of a parent explaining a complicated subject to a child, but as I was talking, I knew I needed to provide these young students with an understanding of what a "One Economy","One Government", "One Currency", "One Religion" world would actually mean to them. I tried to explain that the growing interdependance on food, fuel, and industry was going to lead to a global collapse and the rise of "global tirant".
It was too much for them to comprehend. They just brushed me off by saying, "Oh well there is nothing we can do about that. Enjoy your coffee." And off they went.
The time is short, and too few are willing to listen.

i hear ya! i can't watch the news or "G" programs on tv because of the commercials for the "R" programs come on while my son is in the room. it seems like the media/culture is justsaturated with baseness and i can't get away from it.

with all of the food riots around the world, if word gets out that the prices are being driven by rich greedy american investors, there's going to be hell to pay.
Crazier times just ahead. If Ahmadinejad is dumb enough to attack Israel (which I think he is), we might see the second time atomic weapons were used in battle. And that would be enough, in my opinion, to get China and Russia really, really upset with Israel, and potentially kick-start WWIII.
Iran is preparing for an attack by Israel and/or America. They are the #1 state sponsor of terroism - who knows how many jihadists they have planted worldwide. Revelation 16:12-16 says that the (Islamic) beast calls the world to Armageddon, which I think is the same as Gog&Magog, which I think is starting to shape up today. Islam has declared war on infidels worldwide.
