Invasion II - the sequel?

Don't get me wrong - I'm not a Mahmoud Ahmadinejad fan by any means, but does Pres. Bush have the credibility to pull this off? I don't know-visions of retired Secretary of State Colin Powell giving an "intelligence" briefing at the UN replay in my brain:

Bush to Go Public on Iran’s Secret Nuclear Arms Activities
President George W. Bush is developing a new strategy for tackling Iran’s determined pursuit of a nuclear weapons program. He sounded out French president Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on his new ideas when they came over separately for talks in the last few days.

Was Powell ever set up for a fall. Lousy way for an admirable man to go out.

Palestinian-Israeli Peace? Not in this age.

Israel says it has foiled Palestinian plot to kill Jerusalem's mayor

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

JERUSALEM - Israeli police arrested three Palestinian militants who planned to kill the mayor of Jerusalem in a suicide attack two weeks ago, police said Sunday, after a gag order on the case was lifted.

The three, from east Jerusalem, also intended to carry out a shooting attack against Jews in the old city of Jerusalem, police said.

The suspects are members of the Islamic Jihad, a militant group that has carried out hundreds of attacks against Israelis, police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said.

He said they were from Tzur Bacher, a village inside the expanded city limits of Jerusalem. Israel captured east Jerusalem in the 1967 Middle East War and annexed it, giving its Arab residents Israeli ID cards, but only a few have taken Israeli citizenship.
