DEBKAfile, Syrian army deserters strike first big security facility at heart of Assad regime
From now on, the GCC proposes to make the upgrading of its support for anti-Assad rebels commensurate with the level of Iranian meddling against Arab rulers. Jordan's King Abdullah, who has forged a pact with the GCC, gave due warning of this strategy Monday, Nov. 14, when he became the first Arab ruler to openly call for Bashar Assad to step down. This call, say debkafile's sources, was a signal marking the approach of a regional conflict.

Will foreign intervention in Syria lead to missiles landing in Tel Aviv, the destruction of Damascus (Isaiah 17:1), and a war involving Israel?

Flashback - Assad: Syria will shower Tel Aviv with rockets if attacked by foreign powers
Iranian news agency quotes remarks made by Syrian president during August meeting with Turkish FM; Assad: It will take Damascus 6 hours to mobilize against Israel.

I wonder if Syria liberation by the West is imminent? With Russia and China opposing any new sanctions or any action via the UN Security Council - Syria is not as "clean" as Libya.

If the West does get involved, Assad has promised to rain missiles and chemical weapons on Tel Aviv...bringing Israel into it...bringing Iran into it...potentially bringing Russia into it...potentially bringing China into it... and if all that happens, almost definitely bringing the Messiah into it to end it all.

Exciting times to say the very least!

i'll bet that most of europe would love a diversion from their economic mess right now. obama would like the diversion from his poor reelection chances too. turkey, saudi arabia, and others want assad gone too.

i wouldn't doubt that a regional conflageration would cause a UN type peacekeeping mission that would ultimately turn on israel. i've read a couple of stories recently on proposals to make the middle east nuke-free. damascus being wiped out in a horrific regional war would possibly galvanise something like it, i think.

Yes, I could see that scenario.

Any which way it will go down, we're living in an interesting generation.

interesting theory at chinaconfidential.blogspot.com, scroll to "is US goading iran..."

In that scenario, and with US Marines moving into Australia, I wonder if China (and/or Russia) would have anything to say about the US bombing Iran?
