Ahhhh, peace at last...

Russia to deploy 11 new Topol-M ICBMs in 2008

Gen. Nikolai Solovtsov said the weapons would be deployed in the European part of Russia adding, "the SMF will receive 11 up-to-date Topol-M ICBMs in two versions [silo and mobile-launched]."

Abbas breaks contact with Israel
Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has suspended contact with Israel in protest at an assault on Gaza which has killed about 100 people, an aide says.

U.N. chief condemns Israel after bloody day in Gaza
GAZA (Reuters) - U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned Israel for using "excessive" force in the Gaza Strip and demanded a halt to its offensive after troops killed 61 people on the bloodiest day for Palestinians since the 1980s.

Hamas hides behind civilians - stores ammunition and qassam missiles in schools and hospitals, rides around in UN-marked vehicles, shoots qassams from the roofs of civilian homes - and the half-wits at the UN want Israel to avoid Palestinian civilian deaths as she gets shelled an average of 50 times a day.

The solution is quite simple: get Hamas to stop shelling Israel and the fighting would stop, albeit temporarily. The Bible clearly says there'll be no permanent peace until Christ comes back. Then Israel's enemies will be routed.

It's becoming evident how the world could be so blinded by its ignorance that it would come up against Jerusalem (Zechariah 12).

A Prophecy Against Philistia

15 "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'Because the Philistines acted in vengeance and took revenge with malice in their hearts, and with ancient hostility sought to destroy Judah, 16 therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am about to stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Kerethites and destroy those remaining along the coast. 17 I will carry out great vengeance on them and punish them in my wrath. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I take vengeance on them.' "

Zephaniah 2:

5 And what sorrow awaits you Philistines[a]
who live along the coast and in the land of Canaan,
for this judgment is against you, too!
The Lord will destroy you
until not one of you is left.
6 The Philistine coast will become a wilderness pasture,
a place of shepherd camps
and enclosures for sheep and goats.
7 The remnant of the tribe of Judah will pasture there.
They will rest at night in the abandoned houses in Ashkelon.
For the Lord their God will visit his people in kindness
and restore their prosperity again.
