DEBKAfile, Palestinian and Israeli leaders cross swords as ME Quartet bids for new talks
Abbas said he would never recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Turning to the Palestinian religious and historical affinity to Jerusalem, he called it the city of two Koranic prophets, Muhammad and Jesus, obliterating any Jewish ties to the city - and then accused Israel of restricting freedom of faith.
Listen to all the nations clapping with glee before Abbas' speech. Soon the clapping will stop, replaced with weeping and wailing. Punishment for the division of Israel's land is coming. If only there were more wisdom in the world. Instead we have a world full of scoffers and mockers and willful ignorance. Punishment will not be light.

Responding to Abbas’ fiery anti-Israel speech, PM Netanyahu tells UN General Assembly Palestinians want a state without peace; ‘Israel has extended its hand in peace from the moment it was established,’ he said
I just don't get it. Bible prophecy very clearly states that Jerusalem would be the center of world attention at the end of the age. How amazing is that considering Jerusalem was left in desolation for nearly 2,000 years?! Today we watched the United Nations start debate on the status of Jerusalem and on making it a dual capital of Israel and Palestine. With such amazing prophecy written in black and white and fulfilled in our day, why don't more people believe in the God of the Bible, the God of Israel?
Zechariah 12:
1 This message concerning the fate of Israel came from the Lord: “This message is from the Lord, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the human spirit. 2 I will make Jerusalem like an intoxicating drink that makes the nearby nations stagger when they send their armies to besiege Jerusalem and Judah. 3 On that day I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All the nations will gather against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves.
Romans 1:18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them.
20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

The Obama administration has absurdly been maneuvered, or maneuvered itself, into the lead role for defeating the Palestinian claim for an independent state within the 1967 borders.

Holy Land clerics bless Palestinian UN bid
A joint statement by Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican and Lutheran priests pledged their "support for the diplomatic efforts being deployed to win international recognition for the State of Palestine... on the June 1967 borders with Jerusalem as our capital."
Zechariah 8:
3 “And now the Lord says: I am returning to Mount Zion, and I will live in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City; the mountain of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will be called the Holy Mountain.7 “This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: You can be sure that I will rescue my people from the east and from the west. 8 I will bring them home again to live safely in Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be faithful and just toward them as their God.
These extremely misguided Priests are going to have some explaining to do some day soon. Is the only God, the God of Jacob, going to be pleased with a proposal to hand Jerusalem over to Muslims? Is the God of Jacob going to live in Jerusalem with believers of Islam?! Ironically, beginning in the 11th century, the Catholic Pope started the Crusades to purge Jerusalem of Muslims. Now the Catholic church is welcoming Muslims to take control of Jerusalem - weird world we live in, indeed!
Have no fear - if you're a Believer in the God of Jacob, the only God will soon set everything straight, and anyone who refuses to believe in the plain language of the Bible will be destroyed. Pray for their souls while there is still time.
Zechariah 14:
12 And the Lord will send a plague on all the nations that fought against Jerusalem. Their people will become like walking corpses, their flesh rotting away. Their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. 13 On that day they will be terrified, stricken by the Lord with great panic. They will fight their neighbors hand to hand.

Good article In Plain Language: Do the Palestinian Deserve a State?
Will this new nation stand on its own two feet and do what it takes to support itself? Having taken tens of billions of dollars over the years from well-meaning donors, can the Palestinians learn to be self-sufficient, or are they entrenched in a welfare state, where someone else is always expected to pay the bills? And will they use the massive amounts of money thrown at them wisely? In the course of the last six decades, they have built no new hospitals or medical centers, no great universities, no respectable housing projects to relocate their poor who suffer in squalid refugee camps. Instead, after all their hierarchies of henchmen stole their share, the bulk of what was left was used for weapons and training for war.

Is Turkey's Erdogan about to attack Israel?
Israel suspects that a Turkish attack on the Greek island will be the signal for Turkish military aggression against its oil and gas platforms located in the Mediterranean between Israel and Cyprus.
This news of Turkey potentially starting a play for Israel's oil and gas fields, reminds me of the start of Ezekiel 38:
10 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: At that time evil thoughts will come to your mind, and you will devise a wicked scheme. 11 You will say, ‘Israel is an unprotected land filled with unwalled villages! I will march against her and destroy these people who live in such confidence! 12 I will go to those formerly desolate cities that are now filled with people who have returned from exile in many nations. I will capture vast amounts of plunder, for the people are rich with livestock and other possessions now. They think the whole world revolves around them!’
Don't Erdogan's comments yesterday sound like he's saying: "They think the whole world revolves around them?"
Here's the story about Erdogan's comments again, this time from Haaretz:

Israeli officials: Jordan hanging by a thread - Israel News, Ynetnews
While Israel continues to push for a resumption of peace talks, it is also increasing threats on the PA to stop its unilateral campaign. State officials told Ynet that Jerusalem is considering causing significant damage to the Palestinian economy in light of its great dependence on Israel in the labor and commerce fields.
The US has already threatened Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and President Mahmoud Abbas to cut financial aid if they promote unilateral moves.
"The Palestinians need to realize that unilateral steps on their part will be met with unilateral steps on Israel's part," one state official said. "If they go head to head against us, we will react.

And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah ." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.
O People of the Book! Do not exaggerate in your religion
nor utter aught concerning God save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of
Mary, was only a Messenger of God, and His Word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and say not 'Three' - Cease! (it is)
better for you! - God is only One God. Far be it removed from His transcendent majesty that He should have a son.
1 John 2:
22 Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist. And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ. 23 Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
