Why the Bible?
Ravi Zacharias at the University of Illinois

There's no other book in the world with as much documented support than the Bible. Unfortunately the vast majority of people today ignore this fact at the cost of their eternal soul. What a horrible thought! The God of Israel is a merciful God, wanting none to face eternity in hell, but sadly most alive today are headed for exactly that.

2 Peter 3:
9 The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.

2 Corinthians 6:
1 As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it. 2 For God says,
“At just the right time, I heard you.
On the day of salvation, I helped you.”
Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.

Luke 18:
6 Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge.
7 Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
8 I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”

That's a very scary prospect. I'm hoping America isn't the Whore of Babylon in Revelation 17. I'm kinda thinking it isn't because of the following verses:

8 The beast you saw was once alive but isn’t now. And yet he will soon come up out of the bottomless pit[b] and go to eternal destruction. And the people who belong to this world, whose names were not written in the Book of Life before the world was made, will be amazed at the reappearance of this beast who had died.

Of course, "the beast who once was alive and isn't now" could be a spiritual demon and not representative of a nation, but the lion, bear, leopard beasts of Daniel 7 are representative of the Babylon-Medo-Persia and Greek kingdoms.

Who knows, we'll have to see. Of course it's obvious though that the immorality of the West will be divinely punished sooner or later. If the West goes through unimaginable suffering right now, I'm all for a pre-wrath rapture really soon.

Praise God for the redeeming blood of Christ! Either way we can overcome (pray for courage).
