Edward Snowden nominated for 2014 Nobel Peace Prize
DEBKAfile January 29, 2014, 1:28 PM (IST)
Two Norwegian politicians jointly nominate US fugitive Edward Snowden for the 2014 Peace Prize. Former foreign minister, Socialist Baard Vegar Slhjell, told AFP that he and a colleague don’t necessarily condone Snowden’s disclosures, but praised him for “revealing the nature and technological prowess of modern surveillance by nations against other nations and of citizens,” and for “spurring public debate.”
Saudis offer Russia secret oil deal if it drops Syria - Telegraph

"Saudi Arabia has secretly offered Russia a sweeping deal to control the global oil market and safeguard Russia’s gas contracts, if the Kremlin backs away from the Assad regime in Syria...

As-Safir said Prince Bandar pledged to safeguard Russia’s naval base in Syria if the Assad regime is toppled, but he also hinted at Chechen terrorist attacks on Russia’s Winter Olympics in Sochi if there is no accord. “I can give you a guarantee to protect the Winter Olympics next year. The Chechen groups that threaten the security of the games are controlled by us,” he allegedly said."

'Kerry Plan' said to include shared Jerusalem, Jewish state recognition

"Top US diplomat’s proposal reportedly gives no right of return to Palestinians; calls for land swaps to compensate for settlement blocs...

Netanyahu has previously rejected using the 1967 lines as the basis for a border with a Palestinian state and opposes relinquishing Israeli sovereignty within Jerusalem. He also wants Israel to maintain a dominant security presence in the Jordan Valley for the foreseeable future."

Zechariah 12:
8 On that day the Lord will defend the people of Jerusalem; the weakest among them will be as mighty as King David! And the royal descendants will be like God, like the angel of the Lord who goes before them! 9 For on that day I will begin to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

A step closer to war

Iran can now build and deliver nukes, US intel reports
Iran now has all the technical infrastructure to produce nuclear weapons should it make the political decision to do, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper wrote in a report to a Senate intelligence committee published Wednesday. However, he added, it could not break out to the bomb without being detected."

Should Iran cooperate with the interim deal, halt enrichment, and “provide transparency,” then “This transparency would provide earlier warning of a breakout using these facilities.”

So early warning of Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons depends on their cooperation on the interim deal? Well then you can almost be guaranteed Israel will have to attack Iran to do Obama's dirty work. America is the 'big Satan' after all according to the ayatollahs.

Once again, Israel is being abandoned by the world.

Iran's nuclear bid 'only a matter of time,' says PM's former top adviser
“Most experts doubt whether a [final] deal can be reached, so we should treat the current situation as one which will continue. They [the Iranians] will continue enriching [uranium] to a level they regard as permissible, until the opportunity arises when they decide to catch up easily.

It’s only a matter of time. Meanwhile, they achieve sanctions relief and the sense of [Western] laxness. The threat of military intervention is dissipating in the air,” he said.

War is Coming

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that there is "no chance" the West will reach a final deal with Iran over its nuclear program, following comments by Iranian officials last week that they had not agreed to dismantle any nuclear centrifuges. "If Iran will stand by that statement, that means that a permanent agreement--which is the goal of the entire diplomatic process with Iran--cannot succeed," Netanyahu said."

Ezekiel 39:
...O Gog, ruler of the nations of Meshech and Tubal. 2 I will turn you around and drive you toward the mountains of Israel, bringing you from the distant north. 3 I will knock the bow from your left hand and the arrows from your right hand, and I will leave you helpless. 4 You and your army and your allies will all die on the mountains. I will feed you to the vultures and wild animals. 5 You will fall in the open fields, for I have spoken, says the Sovereign Lord. 6 And I will rain down fire on Magog and on all your allies who live safely on the coasts. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
7 “In this way, I will make known my holy name among my people of Israel. I will not let anyone bring shame on it. And the nations, too, will know that I am the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. 8 That day of judgment will come, says the Sovereign Lord. Everything will happen just as I have declared it.

Iranian official confirms country sought to build nuclear weapons

"This author, who spied for the CIA in the Revolutionary Guards, revealed in the book “A Time to Betray” that during the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s, the Guards’ intelligence division had received information that Iraq’s Saddam Hussein was trying to acquire nuclear weapons.

That’s when Rezaei received Khomeini’s approval to do likewise. Another Guard commander, Ali Shamkhani, then approached Abdul Qadeer Khan, the father of Pakistan’s nuclear bomb, offering billions of dollars, which helped access the nuclear blueprint and Iran’s first centrifuges."

Iran’s nuclear bomb program complete
"Iran successfully has built a nuclear bomb with the help of Russia and North Korea and has enough weapons-grade uranium and plutonium for more, according to a source in the Revolutionary Guards intelligence unit."

Rouhani: If Israel attacks Iran, it will rue the day | JPost | Israel News

Rouhani: If Israel attacks Iran, it will rue the day
"Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warned Israel on Thursday of attacking his country's nuclear facilities, saying Israel will deeply regret it if it does."

Personally, I'm just waiting to see who attacks first. Does Ezekiel 38 talk about a retaliatory strike on Israel by Iran and Russia, or an initial strike? Either way this is going to happen sooner or later. Bets on sooner.

Iran on nuke deal: 'We did not agree to dismantle anything'
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif insisted Wednesday that the Obama administration mischaracterizes concessions by his side in the six-month nuclear deal with Iran, telling CNN in an exclusive interview that "we did not agree to dismantle anything.

It's impossible to negotiate anything when both sides are practicing taqiyya.

Iran's military nuclear bid 'will be stopped': Israel - Yahoo News

Iran's military nuclear bid 'will be stopped': Israel
"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that Iran's atomic drive "will be stopped", a day after an interim agreement bringing sanctions relief for Tehran took effect."

Not to be overly dramatic, but I think the upcoming war between Iran and Israel will mark the beginning of WW3. Most of the world's oil exports brush the shores of Iran in the Strait of Hormuz, which makes the Persian Gulf a tinderbox. Nothing spells world chaos (which is the stated goal of the 12'er theocracy in Iran) like Iran closing the tap on Saudi oil exports.

If Israel attacks Iran, Iran will assume America is complicit in the attack, even though everyone else knows Obama is too much of a wimp to put a cap on Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons, even if the US is only an EMP attack away from total annihilation.

Israel's got to do the West's dirty work by attacking Iran because Obama is too busy golfing, and Iran will attack the West's oil supply. I'd be interesting to see if even then, the Obamanation would do anything about it.

US President Barack Obama has dropped the hammer on 16 Democratic senators who have joined a bold Robert Menendez, Democrat of New Jersey, and Mark Kirk, Republican of Illinois, in co-sponsoring new legislation that will increase sanctions against Iran, should they fail to follow through on their pledges to halt uranium enrichment. The Nuclear Weapon Free Iran Act of 2013 has also attracted 43 Republican co-sponsors, bringing the total to 59.
If they get to 67, they will have a veto-proof majority, something the White House is doing everything to prevent.

One of those brave 16 is my close friend Sen. Cory Booker, who has had a unique and special relationship with the Jewish community since I met him as an undergraduate at Oxford University in 1992. As is well-known, Cory served as president of my Oxford L’Chaim society, where he arguably became the first African-American/Christian head of a major Jewish organization in history. Cory and I then began studying Torah on a regular basis, and he has probably been invited to lecture more American Jewish communal venues than any other political figure in the US. What Cory has seen, as have his other intrepid Senate colleagues, is that Iran is an immense danger to the world in general, and to Israel and the US in particular.

Iran is a menace. This is a regime that exhibits brutality in every field. I just finished reading Days of God by James Buchan, which is a phenomenal history of modern Iran from Reza Shaw’s time, who ruled Iran from 1925-1941, to Muhammad Reza, who ruled as Shah until 1979, through Khomeini’s Iranian revolution of that same year, to the regime currently run by the murderous and barbarous Ayatollah Ali Khameini.

This is a regime that recruited boys from the age of 12 to fight against Saddam Hussein’s armies in the 10-year Iran-Iraq war; this regime move caused even ruthless Iraqi soldiers to cry as they mowed down the Iranian boys attacking them across battlefields.
Iran also used children in this war to clear minefields, as detailed in Ami Pedahzur’s Root Causes of Suicide Terrorism. It is the same regime that stones women to death for accusations of infidelity, and hangs homosexuals from cranes in the capital of Tehran.
It is the regime that the US State Department lists as one of the foremost global exporters of terrorism, funding Hezbollah, which blew up 241 American peacekeeping marines, soldiers and sailors in 1983 Beirut. It is the regime which mowed down their own people in the streets of Tehran in the Green Revolution of 2009, when innocent Iranians protested a stolen election. And it is the regime that publicly shot 26-year-old protester Neda Agha-Soltan in the heart.
Today Iran, like a heat-seeking missile, continues to seek out warm Jewish blood wherever it may be spilled, like the 2012 brutal murder of six innocent Israelis who planned simply to lie on a beach on a Bulgarian vacation – but instead came home in a box.

That Obama is placing all the pressure on 16 senators from his own party rather than squarely on the Iranians where it belongs is, sadly, true to form.

Whatever debatable successes the president has had in domestic policies, what is indisputable is his catastrophic foreign policy. Iraq today has turned into one giant suicide explosion, and large parts of the country – like Fallujah, where so many marines have died – are slowly going over to al-Qaida. Egypt is a mess and utterly distrusts the US. Secretary of State John Kerry comes to Israel every week to make what he calls an urgent peace between Israel and the Palestinians, yet utterly ignores the 130,000 dead in the Syrian civil war, just slightly to the north. Russia has gained the upper hand over the US in global diplomacy, and Vladimir Putin bestrides the world like a colossus.
With all that, President Obama is insistent on pressuring brave Democratic senators of his own party who want to keep Iran in check, so that he can hand over $10 billion to the murderous mullahs to enable them to prop up their regime – without demanding that they dismantle their nuclear framework.

And a great deal of the president’s pressure is falling on our newly elected Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey.

Last month, Taglit-Birthright co-founder Michael Steinhardt, who is also a former chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council, and I took out fullpage ads in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. In these ads, we promoted the message of my hero and friend, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Elie Wiesel, to whom I introduced Sen. Booker, beseeching Obama as well as the US Senate to insist that Iran’s nuclear facilities be dismantled. Inspections, Wiesel said, are not enough, as we discovered with North Korea – which agreed to a similar deal in 1994, only to lie and detonate a bomb in 2006.

Contrasting Wiesel’s call in the Jewish community was Peter Beinart, a member of Cory’s Rhodes Scholar class and someone I hosted at Shabbat meals at Oxford. While Beinart and I remain friendly, that did not stop him from savaging Cory (do I detect a hint of envy?) for his close relationship with the Jewish community in general, and me in particular – in a column where Beinart was forced to change the libelous subhead, after he claimed it was written by an underling without his approval.

Unlike Wiesel, who is known as one of the most respected moral voices in the word, Beinart, of course, is best-known for calling for a boycott on Israeli products like Soda Stream, because they are manufactured beyond the Green Line – the arbitrary armistice line of 1949 where the Arab armies, threatening Israel’s annihilation, were halted.
Beinart’s column and forum, Open Zion, has now been canceled by the Daily Beast, presumably due to lack of interest, and he has been reduced to writing his screeds in Haaretz, where he has become yet another tiresome critic of Israel. (Incidentally Beinart has accepted my invitation to debate on Iran, and we hope to stage the event shortly.) Beinart and his kind scapegoat Israel’s settlers as principal obstacles to Middle East peace, just as Khomeini himself scapegoated the US for the same. Khomeini’s followers coined the now-familiar Iranian chant of America as the great Satan.

Today, Iran is developing intercontinental missiles with a range that could reach targets in the continental US. But even if that were not the case, imagine how courageous it must be for a Democratic senator like Cory Booker to oppose, as one of his first acts as a newly elected senator, the leader of his own party, the president of the United States, on insisting that Iran now acquire weapons of mass destruction.
In 1955, president John F. Kenney published his Pulitzer-Prize winning book, Profiles in Courage, which detailed the gutsy actions on the part of US senators who followed their conscience on matters of principle, even if it lost them votes or ran afoul of their own party. Since then the American people have significantly soured on Congress, which today has an approval rating of just 9 percent. But what Cory and his 15 other Democratic colleagues have shown is that courage in the US Senate is alive and well.

Angus King would skip Olympics - POLITICO.com

"Appearing prior to King, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) said the Russian government had not been cooperative in sharing its intelligence.

"We've had a departure of cooperation that's very concerning to me," he said."

I don't know if I buy into Pastor John Hagee's latest book about the 4 blood moons, with the first lunar eclipse coming mid-April, and how the blood moons in this tetrad portend something ominous upcoming for Israel, but a major Muslim terrorist attack at Sochi would certainly heat up the region.

We are approaching the end of the age, that is for certain, now we just have to be alert to see it all unfold before our eyes. Sounds crazy, but true.

Why all the enmity over Israel?

Israeli gas mask distribution ends - although Syrian and Iraqi Al Qaeda prepare sarin for region

"Last month, for the first time in its 26 years of life and death as an organization dedicated to jihadist terrorism, al Qaeda through its Iraqi branch, the ISIS, laid out detailed plans for destroying Israel in a 33-page booklet under the title: “Proofs and Documentation in Support of the Proposition that the Destruction of the Jewish State Will Come from Iraq.”
The publication, penned by Abu al Khatab al Maqdasi” (the Jerusalemite), is lavishly illustrated with photos and maps. After overpowering Syria, he says, Al Qaeda’s mission is the destruction of Israel. Throughout history, he argues, Israel was conquered by armies coming from the North."

Also: though not Arab, Persia (now called Iran) also hates Israel.
This is completely consistent with Ezekiel 38
This should give any non-Christian some pause to think. Why is the tiny sliver of land called Israel attracting such hatred from the Arab world? Israel is so incomparably small, why do Arabs and Muslims even pay attention to it as having been stolen from them? The argument that the al Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount is the 3rd holiest site in all Islam is just a recent invention, and does not hold water.

This irrational hatred towards tiny Israel is accurately and completely described in the Bible as handed down to us - there is no excuse for unbelief in the God of Israel, who caused 40 authors to write the 66 books in our Bible. In the end there will be no excuse for unbelief, and the God of Israel will judge righteously.

Joel 3:
7 “But I will bring them back from all the places to which you sold them, and I will pay you back for everything you have done. 8 I will sell your sons and daughters to the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the people of Arabia, a nation far away. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

9 Say to the nations far and wide:
    “Get ready for war!
Call out your best warriors.
Let all your fighting men advance for the attack.
10 Hammer your plowshares into swords
and your pruning hooks into spears.
Train even your weaklings to be warriors.
11 Come quickly, all you nations everywhere.
    Gather together in the valley.”
And now, O Lord, call out your warriors!

Psalm 83:
A song. A psalm of Asaph.

1 O God, do not be silent!
    Do not be deaf.
Do not be quiet, O God.
2 Don’t you hear the uproar of your enemies?
Don’t you see that your arrogant enemies are rising up?
3 They devise crafty schemes against your people;
they conspire against your precious ones.
4 “Come,” they say, “let us wipe out Israel as a nation.
We will destroy the very memory of its existence.”
5 Yes, this was their unanimous decision.
They signed a treaty as allies against you—
6 these Edomites and Ishmaelites;
    Moabites and Hagrites;
7 Gebalites, Ammonites, and Amalekites;
and people from Philistia and Tyre.
8 Assyria has joined them, too,
and is allied with the descendants of Lot. Interlude
9 Do to them as you did to the Midianites
and as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River.
10 They were destroyed at Endor,
and their decaying corpses fertilized the soil.
11 Let their mighty nobles die as Oreb and Zeeb did.
Let all their princes die like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 for they said, “Let us seize for our own use
    these pasturelands of God!”
13 O my God, scatter them like tumbleweed,
    like chaff before the wind!
14 As a fire burns a forest
and as a flame sets mountains ablaze,
15 chase them with your fierce storm;
    terrify them with your tempest.
16 Utterly disgrace them
until they submit to your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be ashamed and terrified forever.
    Let them die in disgrace.
18 Then they will learn that you alone are called the Lord,
that you alone are the Most High,

    supreme over all the earth.

Netanyahu slams UNESCO for scrapping Israel exhibit | The Times of Israel: "PM brushes aside UN cultural organization’s claim that show highlighting Jewish ties to Israel could harm peace talks"

Yes, the UN once again does its best to obfuscate the truth that Israel has a definite historical claim to Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza. The Pali's (a fraudulent nation dreamed up in the minds of terrorists) has no past, no historical capital or historical evidence that 'Palestinians' ever had a nation.

But the UN will never let facts get in the way of a good story.

White House suggests Iran sanctions bill could draw U.S. into war
"WASHINGTON -- The White House launched a harsh attack on supporters of a Senate bill to impose fresh sanctions on Iran, suggesting that they have a hidden goal of drawing the country into another Mideast war.

If supporters “want the United States to take military action, they should be up front with the American people and say so,” Bernadette Meehan, a spokeswoman for the National Security Council, said in a statement. “Otherwise, it’s not clear why any member of Congress would support a bill that possibly closes the door on diplomacy and makes it more likely that the United States will have to choose between military options or allowing Iran’s nuclear program to continue.”"

The Obama mis-administration is proceeding full bore in applying window dressing to the Iran negotiations. Every knowledgeable observer sees that the current negotiations are merely a ruse by Iran to get sanctions relief. Much of that relief will soon be delivered by Russia and China. Current sanctions have already broken apart and Iran has little need to cooperate in ongoing talks.

Plainly spoken: Iran's theocracy is nuts! The Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei would like nothing better than to cause world chaos to return his Al Mahdi to the earth in power, and with nuclear weapons to threaten Israel's existence, an extremely strategic overview of the Strait of Hormuz's oil shipments, a compliant Iranian population, and an unwillingness by the rest of the world to intervene in Iran's plans and instead they increase trade with Iran - there is little to stop Iran from fulfilling Ezekiel 38 and from bringing about the end of the age.

What's happening here? The end result was long ago predicted in the Bible -- Iran attacks Israel, or Israel first attacks Iran's nuclear facilities, and the whole Middle East will go up in flames and take the rest of the world with it. It will end this way:

Ezekiel 38 NLT:
"19 In my jealousy and blazing anger, I promise a mighty shaking in the land of Israel on that day. 20 All living things—the fish in the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the people on earth—will quake in terror at my presence. Mountains will be thrown down; cliffs will crumble; walls will fall to the earth. 21 I will summon the sword against you on all the hills of Israel, says the Sovereign Lord. Your men will turn their swords against each other. 22 I will punish you and your armies with disease and bloodshed; I will send torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulfur! 23 In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the Lord."

Palestinian red lines make chances of US-mediated settlement slim

This time we really, really, really mean it.

Palestinian red lines make chances of US-mediated settlement slim | The Times of Israel
"Erekat’s statements demonstrate just how wide the gap between the two sides is, and suggest that Washington’s chances of reaching a framework agreement are slim — perhaps even very slim.

First of all, Erekat stressed in the interview that the Palestinians will not agree to have talks extended beyond the allotted nine months, set to end in April."

Interesting that the time currently allotted for peace talks is nine months - the same duration of pregnancy. There are some key prophetic bible verses which refer to birth pangs. Coincidence? Perhaps; perhaps not.

This one is currently my favorite. Very relevant to today's false-peace process:
 1 Thessalonians 5:3
3 When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape.

Speaking of Israel's re-birth on one day on May 14, 1948:
Isaiah 66:
7 “Before the birth pains even begin,
Jerusalem gives birth to a son.
8 Who has ever seen anything as strange as this?
Who ever heard of such a thing?
Has a nation ever been born in a single day?
Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment?
But by the time Jerusalem’s birth pains begin,
    her children will be born.
9 Would I ever bring this nation to the point of birth
and then not deliver it?” asks the Lord.
“No! I would never keep this nation from being born,”

    says your God.

Of course Jesus says in Matthew 24:
7 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. 8 But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.

Day of the Lord mentioned in Isaiah 13:
6 Scream in terror, for the day of the Lord has arrived—
the time for the Almighty to destroy.
7 Every arm is paralyzed with fear.
    Every heart melts,
8     and people are terrified.
Pangs of anguish grip them,
like those of a woman in labor.
They look helplessly at one another,
    their faces aflame with fear.
9 For see, the day of the Lord is coming—
the terrible day of his fury and fierce anger.
The land will be made desolate,
and all the sinners destroyed with it.
10 The heavens will be black above them;
the stars will give no light.
The sun will be dark when it rises,
and the moon will provide no light.

I don't put much stock in the upcoming "lunar tetrad" stuff that Pastor Hagee has penned a recent book about, but it is nonetheless interesting that the first total lunar eclipse of the tetrad occurs on Passover, this April, which is the same month that the current 'false-peace process' with the so-called 'Palestinians' is set to conclude, and undoubtedly conclude in either frustration or false hope.

The problem with this lunar tetrad hype is that the feast days were always based on the lunar calendar, so of course the moon will be doing interesting things on the feast days. Incidentally there are lunar tetrads also upcoming on the following dates according to NASA:

When four consecutive lunar eclipses are all total eclipses, the group is known as a tetrad. The following tetrads occur during this century:

                              1. Tetrad: 2003 - 2004
                              2. Tetrad: 2014 - 2015
                              3. Tetrad: 2032 - 2033
                              4. Tetrad: 2043 - 2044
                              5. Tetrad: 2050 - 2051
                              6. Tetrad: 2061 - 2062
                              7. Tetrad: 2072 - 2073
                              8. Tetrad: 2090 - 2091

I digress. Anyhow - keep your eyes peeled, it's a fantastic time to be alive, even if the world is falling apart all around us. Jesus is coming back soon to end this age, that is plainly obvious to those who are looking.

There is no "2-state solution"

A good Roman Catholic who reads his Bible would know that Israeli-Palestinian peace is "mission impossible". Only the War of Gog and Magog will solve this one.

Guaranteed there won't be a sustained peace.

The key players, but no peace deal

After five hours with Netanyahu, John Kerry meets FM Lieberman
DEBKAfile January 3, 2014, 11:26 AM (GMT+02:00)

US Secretary of State John Kerry spent five hours talking to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem Thursday night. They will meet again before he leaves. Friday, Kerry held talks with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman. He goes on to meet Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas Friday night. On this visit Kerry planned to submit to both parties a proposed framework for an accord covering the core issues in the dispute for their comments. Ahead of his arrival, sources in the Israeli prime minister’s office said the pressure the US was applying to Israel for concessions was unfair, especially the threat of a European boycott, and it was disproportionately greater that US demands of the Palestinians.

Challenges for Israel in 2014

IDF barely ready for 2014  - Israel Opinion, Ynetnews
"Analysis: 'Jihadist tsunami' on Israel's borders, Hamas' underground system, renewed threat to strike Iran and possible violent conflict this summer are just some of challenges facing Israeli army in coming year"

Some simply don't want Israel to be in Israel. The God of all says otherwise.

Iranian: Without Deal, We Would've Attacked Israel - Middle East - News - Israel National News

Iranian: Without Deal, We Would've Attacked Israel
"Iranian political analyst: If a deal with the West had not been reached, Obama would've had to beg Khamenei not to attack Israel...

In fact, said Al-Hosseini, had a deal not been reached in Geneva, President Barack Obama would have had to kiss the hands of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in order to prevent an Iranian attack on Israel."

Do not mock the God of Israel

Ariel Sharon suffers 'change for the worse' after eight-year coma
"Mr Sharon, seen as a hard-line defence chief, made a dramatic political volte face in 2005 when he called for a unilateral withdrawal from the Gaza Strip."

I have always thought that Sharon's surrender of the Gaza Strip resulted in God punishing him with this coma. Dividing Israel's land at this time in history, when Israel has since been re-gathered, is a foolish, foolish act. Somebody should try and convince John Kerry and Pres. Obama of that, but unfortunately they will most likely learn the hard way like Sharon did.

Obadiah:
20 The exiles of Israel will return to their land
and occupy the Phoenician coast as far north as Zarephath.
The captives from Jerusalem exiled in the north
will return home and resettle the towns of the Negev.
21 Those who have been rescued will go up to Mount Zion in Jerusalem
to rule over the mountains of Edom.
And the Lord himself will be king!”
