Personally, I would not want to be an Israeli soldier fighting a ground war in Gaza. Call me a coward, but I'm just allergic to death right now. I think Israel had excellent intelligence for its air strikes, which were a success regardless of how Hamas is gloating. I'm sure Bibi wanted to avoid IDF casualties pre-election. After the election it will be a different story.
