Revised - Iran still says it is sending two warships through the Suez
Claim they are negotiating passage with Egypt. Price of oil up.

Batten down the hatches, America!

In sharp reversal, U.S. agrees to rebuke Israel in Security Council - By Colum Lynch | Turtle Bay: "The U.S. informed Arab governments Tuesday that it will support a U.N. Security Council statement reaffirming that the 15-nation body 'does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity,' a move aimed at avoiding the prospect of having to veto a stronger Palestinian resolution calling the settlements illegal."

Hard to get consistent information on this, but one version of the news says the Suez crossing is canceled.

'Egypt cancels Iran warship Suez passing'
"The Suez Canal Authority was 'informed today about the cancellation of two scheduled trips of two Iranian warships and no new date was set to cross the Suez as part of the southern convoy coming from the Red Sea,' an Egyptian canal official, who declined to be named, told Reuters."
