Sauntering into Armageddon
15 “Look, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their clothing ready so they will not have to walk around naked and ashamed.”
16 And the demonic spirits gathered all the rulers and their armies to a place with the Hebrew name Armageddon.

Iran nuclear talks fall flat
The EU foreign policy chief blames unrealistic demands by Iran — an end to UN sanctions and agreement that Iran could continue to enrich — for the disappointing results.

DEBKAfile, Iran balks at nuclear discussion. Military option aired
"Refusing to discuss his own country's nuclear program, Iranian delegation leader Saeed Jalili was only willing to talk about Israel's reported nuclear arsenal when he met with the delegations of six world powers in Istanbul Friday, Jan. 21. Our sources report that European foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, head of the multi-power delegation, physically blocked the exit of the conference chamber to prevent Jalili from walking out. He finally agreed to stay another day in response to Ashton's pleas but refused to change his position."

Tony Blair: West must prepare to confront Iran
"Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair urged the west to confront Iran with force in order to face the 'looming and coming challenge' from Iran...The Quartet representative to the Middle East says he can see the "impact and the influence of Iran everywhere."

UN's Ban Ki-moon: Israeli settlements are illegal, hamper talks
"UN Sec.-Gen. slams continued settlement in West Bank, East Jerusalem; says he's 'very concerned at lack of progress towards peace.' The proposed UN Security Council resolution condemns “the continuation of settlement activities by Israel, the occupying Power, in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem,” as well as “all other measures aimed at altering the demographic composition, character and status of the Territory, in violation of international humanitarian law and relevant resolutions.”condemning Israel's settlement activity and demanding it “immediately and completely” cease all settlement activities “in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem.”"

Zechariah 12:
1 This message concerning the fate of Israel came from the Lord: “This message is from the Lord, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the human spirit. 2 I will make Jerusalem like an intoxicating drink that makes the nearby nations stagger when they send their armies to besiege Jerusalem and Judah. 3 On that day I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All the nations will gather against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves.
