Netanyahu: 'Jerusalem construction will go on'
While the United States continued to criticize Israel over an east Jerusalem housing project approved during US Vice President Joe Biden's visit to Israel last week, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday said construction in the capital would continue as usual.
"Construction in Jerusalem will continue in any part of the city as it has during the last 42 years," Netanyahu stressed at the Likud faction meeting. The prime minister added that Israel was committed to the 10-month building moratorium in the West Bank.

"House Republican Whip Eric Cantor says spat with Israel 'jeopardizes America's national security', while another senior party member concerned about administration's 'softer approaches' toward Palestinian Authority, Syria and Iran"
