• Influenza A (H1N1 - swine origin) - Multiple Nations
o Source: WHO HQ, Ministry of Health, News Media

o This is an update to the novel influenza A (H1N1) epidemic last reported by the GDDOC on June 9. As of June 10, WHO has reported 74 countries with confirmed cases of novel influenza A(H1N1) infection.

One country has been added since the last WHO update: Ukraine, with one case. Deaths due to novel influenza A (H1N1) have been reported in six countries: Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and the United States.

o The GDDOC is monitoring reports of influenza A (H1N1) infections and deaths that have not yet
officially been reported by WHO. According to the Ministry of Health of Colombia, one death due
to influenza A (H1N1) has been reported in the country. If confirmed by WHO, Colombia would
be the seventh country to have deaths due to influenza A (H1N1).

o Two countries, in particular, are experiencing a rapidly rising incidence of influenza A (H1N1);
Australia and Chile. In Australia, there have been 1,224 cases of influenza A (H1N1) reported to
WHO. In the state of Victoria alone, there are 1,011 cases, which, according to the Australian
Ministry of Health, is an increase of 137 cases since June 5. Of concern is sustained transmission
as Australia enters cooler months, during which time influenza infections are prevalent. In
response, health officials in Victoria are continuing to provide treatment to people who have
confirmed influenza A (H1N1) infection, and household members are receiving preventive
treatment.

o In Chile, there have now been 1,694 cases of influenza A (H1N1) reported to WHO. This is an increase of 1,283 cases since WHO’s last report on June 8. Chile is the country in South America
with the largest number of newly confirmed cases, and until Colombia’s death is confirmed, is the only South American country to have reported deaths (2) due to influenza A (H1N1).

o According to media reports, WHO may be preparing to raise the influenza A (H1N1) pandemic
alert level from Phase 5 to Phase 6. As of June 10, there have been 27,727 cases and 141 deaths,
and as discussed above, many countries in several WHO regions now have sustained transmission,
thereby warranting the elevation to Phase 6.

Thanks for that NB. It isn't going to go well for a belligerent world which generally ignores its Creator. Not sure if this will be "the" big one, but eventually justice will be served.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
