IDF gunfire kills 16 Palestinians, 500 injured in mob assault on Gaza border fence
More than 20,000 Palestinians are rioting Monday at 10 rallying points along the Gaza-Israel border fence, as Hamas goes all-out for an unprecedented outbreak to flatten the border fence and surge across. Since the morning, 16 Palestinians were killed by IDF gunfire and 500 injured, mostly from tear gas. One Israeli soldier was hurt. The mosques are calling on worshipers to join and young boys and women are pushed forward up to the fence. The rioters are hurling explosive devices, flying incendiary kites and have been armed with wire-cutters and bottles of petrol. From time to time, they announce they have crossed into “occupied” land and are driven back. One incendiary kite set another Israel farm crop on fire. The IDF forces fighting to ward off the assault have been reinforced to 12 battalions. Terrorist attacks threatened by Hamas and funded by Iran include attempts to snatch soldiers, according to intelligence input. Soldiers have spread out among local Israeli communities. “Even if the fence is breached,” said one officer, “Israel civilians are protected from massacre and abduction.”
