Regardless, big things are on the near horizon as far as the end of this age is concerned. I have long held on this blog that as soon as war breaks out between Israel and Iran we will be in the very midst of the end of this age. With Iran maintaining its nuclear enrichment and pursuit of nuclear weapons, and with Israel's enemies continuing to gain strength on the very borders of Israel (ie. Hamas, Hezbollah), whether we have lunar eclipses or not is irrelevant. The plain truth is that with Israel back in her land, the end is near, and that is very obvious for those who are watching.

32 “Now learn a lesson from the fig tree [fig tree=Israel]. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout [May 14, 1948], you know that summer is near [summer=end of the age]. 33 In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door.

it seems like all of these prophesy teachers has a piece of the puzzle, but not the whole pic. and maybe that's the way God wants it.
i was thinking the same as you, that the jewish calendar is already lunar based so... (and i'm not even anything approaching a scholar.)
i like irwin baxter's timeline, and a lot of his other stuff, but i don't agree with everything he posits either. i like a lot of what joel richardson and walid shoebat say, but i haven't ready their complete ideas.
it seems like we're just about to see something big in the middle east, but yet, i've thought the economy would collapse 6 or 7 years ago. it seems like it should have. why it goes on i have no idea. maybe something significant will happen this year, maybe nothing will until the 2020's. who knows?

Nope, we don't have the whole picture. Mirrors used to have a lot less quality than they do today, hence:

I think the economy hasn't collapsed yet because the US economy is still the best horse in the glue factory. Countries still use the US dollar as the reserve currency, but as $trillions of USD's are flooding the market, soon the world will demand higher interest rates for taking America's debt, or more likely, stop buying T-bills and dump the USD.
In my humble estimation, I think Netanyahu can not wait much longer before he'll have to attack Iran's nuclear sites in a more overt manner. Israel has been attacking covertly through the Stuxnet computer virus and by assassinating Iran's nuclear scientists.
Once Israel attacks Iran, or if Iran beats Israel to the punch, by attacking Israel first - this next war will be big - potentially of nuclear proportions. I think 2020's is too far away and things are progressing more quickly than that - but who knows. I'm hoping for the war to start this year, but also that many will repent before that of course.

Good to hear from you. I don't seem to ever tire of 'end time' talk so I've been at least casually keeping up this blog when I can.
There are just too many daily news stories which I think bring us a step closer to the end of this age. What can be better than keeping track of that?! What else matters when this age is over?
With Israel back in the land, with a declaration on one day per Isaiah 66:8 (referring to Israel Independence Day May 14, 1948) we are in an amazing time!! Oh and of course there's the tiny little war of Iran/Putin/Islam vs. Israel brewing as well per Ezekiel 38-39.
Bible prophecy is just too awesome to ignore in the time we're living in. How my area churches can be completely oblivious to it - I DON'T KNOW. It gets me very excited for what is coming up next in the world, and for the potential of even being alive when Christ returns. WOW!
