Investing in the gospel of getting rich
Even in an economic downturn, preachers in the “prosperity gospel” movement are drawing sizable, adoring audiences. Their message — that if you have sufficient faith in God and the Bible and donate generously, God will multiply your offerings a hundredfold — is reassuring to many in hard times.

Matthew 5: 3 “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

2 Timothy 4:
2 Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths.

Matthew 19:

23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. 24 I’ll say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”

Luke 6:

24 “What sorrow awaits you who are rich,
for you have your only happiness now.
25 What sorrow awaits you who are fat and prosperous now,
for a time of awful hunger awaits you.

Ephesian 4:

11I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

Hinn, Osteen, Meyers, Copeland, White, Dollar and TBN should be put out of business in my opinion. It is very clear their motives and what's worse is they are doing this on the backs of folks who give from their hearts to actually help others. It is so wicked out there that I simply don't know what to think anymore. However the Lord knows your heart and not any of those people who do such things will be able to skip by without their just rewards. Plus this wickedness is really increasing almost daily. And to go further what's going on in D.C. is something else altogether. I just shake my head anymore. What can you do but shake your head. BUT ONE GOOD THING....I have learned lately that when it gets to be just way to much I look towards Jesus and wow it's peaceful, hopeful, sweet, perfect. Just what a person needs in the mist of all this corruption. Come Lord Jesus come! God Bless,

Hey there Kelly,

It's people like you mention that give us greater confidence to say: 'Christ is coming soon'. Woe to these 'ministers' who think they are 'one up' on their Creator. Who do they think they are fooling? It's extremely foolish to make a buck in this life, at the expense of eternity. But of course, they're betting the God of Jacob doesn't exist. With Israel back in her land, that's completely crazy. Fulfilled prophesy is staring them in the face.
