They're gradually trying to eliminate Israel from Jerusalem, and transform it into a capital of Islamic 'Palestine'. I think of this proposal as trying to "move Jerusalem". Bad idea! 'Ain't gonna happen' - because the only living God is again watching over Jacob.

On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.
Zechariah 12:3

I love Isaiah 60:
Future Glory for Jerusalem
1 “Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you. 2 Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you. 3 All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see your radiance.

4 “Look and see, for everyone is coming home! Your sons are coming from distant lands; your little daughters will be carried home.
5 Your eyes will shine,
and your heart will thrill with joy,
for merchants from around the world will come to you.
They will bring you the wealth of many lands.
6 Vast caravans of camels will converge on you,
the camels of Midian and Ephah.
The people of Sheba will bring gold and frankincense
and will come worshiping the Lord.
7 The flocks of Kedar will be given to you,
and the rams of Nebaioth will be brought for my altars.
I will accept their offerings,
and I will make my Temple glorious.

8 “And what do I see flying like clouds to Israel, like doves to their nests? 9 They are ships from the ends of the earth, from lands that trust in me, led by the great ships of Tarshish. They are bringing the people of Israel home from far away, carrying their silver and gold. They will honor the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has filled you with splendor.

10 “Foreigners will come to rebuild your towns,
and their kings will serve you.
For though I have destroyed you in my anger,
I will now have mercy on you through my grace.
11 Your gates will stay open around the clock
to receive the wealth of many lands.
The kings of the world will be led as captives
in a victory procession.
12 For the nations that refuse to serve you will be destroyed.

13 “The glory of Lebanon will be yours—
the forests of cypress, fir, and pine—
to beautify my sanctuary.
My Temple will be glorious!
14 The descendants of your tormentors
will come and bow before you.
Those who despised you
will kiss your feet.
They will call you the City of the Lord,
and Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

15 “Though you were once despised and hated,
with no one traveling through you,
I will make you beautiful forever, a joy to all generations.
16 Powerful kings and mighty nations
will satisfy your every need,
as though you were a child
nursing at the breast of a queen.
You will know at last that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Israel.[a]
17 I will exchange your bronze for gold,
your iron for silver,
your wood for bronze,
and your stones for iron.
I will make peace your leader
and righteousness your ruler.
18 Violence will disappear from your land;
the desolation and destruction of war will end.
Salvation will surround you like city walls,
and praise will be on the lips of all who enter there.

19 “No longer will you need the sun to shine by day,
nor the moon to give its light by night,
for the Lord your God will be your everlasting light,
and your God will be your glory.
20 Your sun will never set;
your moon will not go down.
For the Lord will be your everlasting light. Your days of mourning will come to an end.
21 All your people will be righteous. They will possess their land forever,
for I will plant them there with my own hands
in order to bring myself glory.
22 The smallest family will become a thousand people,
and the tiniest group will become a mighty nation.
At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”

UN Panel Gives Dire Warming Forecast

Over 2,200 Die in Bangladesh Cyclone

1 Thessalonians 5:

2for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

4But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.

Luke 21:

33Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

34"Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. 35For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth.

Mark 13:

8 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in many parts of the world, as well as famines. But this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.

Luke 21:

25"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.

2 Peter 3:5-8

5But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

8But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

U.S. Secretly Aids Pakistan in Guarding Nuclear Arms

What could hasten the day of the Lord? Nuclear capable Islamic extremists could hasten the coming of Jesus Christ, quite a bit. There's a whole lot that the 'average Joe' like me, doesn't know about nuclear weapon security. But based on the little that I know, it sounds like it's only a matter of time before Islamists get "the bomb": either through the turmoil in Pakistan; through Ahmadinejad in Iran; or through the latest race for nuclear 'power' technology in the Middle East that Ahmadinejad has set off. Now oil-rich Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, suddenly want nuclear powered generators (read: nuclear warheads) to match Shiite Iran's clandestine program. It's only a matter of time before somebody hits the button, and Israel, the regathered apple of God's eye would make the ideal target. Get ready for an exciting conclusion.

PS: Even the UN ( who I think are generally misguided and nuts ) think this earth is almost irrevocably doomed. But their egos are still big enough to make them think that they can reverse the earth's doom. My advice to them: don't put your hope on revitalizing the earth - because it is going down. That fact should be rather obvious to even an atheist who is willing to take an honest look at the current state of affairs.

Zechariah 2:
3 Then the angel who was speaking to me left, and another angel came to meet him 4 and said to him: "Run, tell that young man, 'Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of men and livestock in it. 5 And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,' declares the LORD, 'and I will be its glory within.'

6 "Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north," declares the LORD, "for I have scattered you to the four winds of heaven," declares the LORD.

7 "Come, O Zion! Escape, you who live in the Daughter of Babylon!" 8 For this is what the LORD Almighty says: "After he has honored me and has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye- 9 I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them. [a] Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me.

10 "Shout and be glad, O Daughter of Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you," declares the LORD. 11 "Many nations will be joined with the LORD in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you. 12 The LORD will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land and will again choose Jerusalem. 13 Be still before the LORD, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling."

OPEC ministers contemplate dumping US Dollar

Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said in a written proposal that a final declaration by OPEC leaders, who arrive here Saturday for a two-day summit, should express concern by member states over the fall of the US dollar.

Reacting to the request, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal Saudi Arabia's foreign minister warned that mentioning the falling dollar could lead to the "collapse" of the US currency.

"There are media people outside waiting to catch this point and they will add to it (exaggerate) and we may find that the dollar collapses," he said.

Iran says IAEA report shows nuclear program peaceful

Decision time for US over Iran threat
Russian officials yesterday called for patience, insisting Iran could still clinch a deal with the international community in the next few weeks. They pointed to other parts of the IAEA report showing Tehran had been cooperating with the agency's inspectors on other nuclear issues. Against the fraught backdrop, a meeting of senior officials from the UN security council's five permanent members and Germany to decide on sanctions, planned for Monday, was put off after the Chinese delegation said it could not attend.

Putin is ever the obstructionist, and apparently China has declared "national hair wash day" for next Monday and can't make the somewhat crucial security council meeting (??) This isn't looking good, folks. At least not for the humanist who wants to preserve "mother earth" forever.

I've been echoing Dr. Skolfield repeatedly on this site, that the LBL Beast of Islam in the Middle East is slowly, but surely drawing the world to a last war - also known as Armageddon. Yes, I know this doesn't fit well with today's 'Laodicean church eschatology', but you gotta remember, Christ doesn't say flattering things about the last church in Rev 3!

Revelation 16 [my comments; emphasis mine]:
12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great Euphrates River [goes right through Iraq, Syria, and Turkey and that's no coincidence. ], and it dried up so that the kings from the east could march their armies toward the west without hindrance. 13 And I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs leap from the mouths of the dragon [Satan], the [Rev 13:2 LBL] beast, and the false prophet [Mohammad. Who else has 1.3 billion people saying (screaming) that Jesus was just a human prophet of Allah? Who else has an abomination of desolation on Mount Moriah, the Temple Mount, saying Jesus is not the Son of God?]. 14 They are demonic spirits who work miracles and go out to all the rulers of the world to gather them for battle against the Lord on that great judgment day of God the Almighty.

15 “Look, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! [Christ comes back here and no sooner, and not for a 'third time'] Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their clothing ready so they will not have to walk around naked and ashamed.”

16 And the demonic spirits gathered all the rulers and their armies to a place with the Hebrew name Armageddon.

Titus 2:

11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13 while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

15 You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them. You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don’t let anyone disregard what you say.

Muslims flush Koranic toilet seats in Italy
Unfortunately the Italian authorities have "pulled the chain" on these seats under pressure from Muslim leaders and threats of an angry reaction. Palestinians: Israel is not a Jewish State

Jewish state call alarms Mideast press

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's call for the Palestinians to recognize Israel as a Jewish state as a pre-condition for post-Annapolis peace talks is seen by some Israeli papers and a Jordanian commentator as reasonable and necessary.
But the demand horrifies the Palestinian daily al-Ayyam and other Arab papers who describe the concept as "racist" and a bar to the return of the Palestinian diaspora.

The "Palestinian diaspora"? Puleeez!

From Dave Hunt's Judgment Day
Within a week after the UN partitioned Palestine, Arab guerillas and
terrorists had killed more than one hundred Jews. John Bagot Glubb,
British commander of Transjordan’s Arab Legion, admitted: “Early in
January [1948], the first detachments of the Arab Liberation Army
began to infiltrate into Palestine from Syria. Some came through
Jordan and even through Amman…. They were in reality to strike
the first blow in the ruin of the Arabs of Palestine.
Unashamedly, the Arabs boasted to the entire world of their intentions.
Jamal Husseini, speaking for the Arab Higher Committee, had
told the Security Council on April 16, 1948: “The…Jewish Agency
[said] that the Arabs had begun the fighting. We did not deny this.
We told the whole world that we were going to fight.” This was a
month before Israel declared itself a nation. The vow to exterminate
Israel is a foundational doctrine of Islam. That fact obviously requires
unusual measures to ensure real peace in the Middle East—but political
correctness remains in denial of this awful truth.

Israel’s Proclamation of Independence stated: “We extend…to
all neighboring States…an offer of peace...and appeal to them to
establish bonds of cooperation and mutual help with the sovereign
Jewish people settled in its own land...placing our trust in the
Almighty....” That olive branch held out by Israel in good faith was
trampled by the regular armies of at least five Arab nations.
The next morning, the fledgling State of Israel found itself at war
in earnest, under heavy attack on several fronts. The Arab armies had
begun their coordinated invasion: the Lebanese from the north, the
Syrian armies down the Golan from the northeast, the Arab Legion
and the Iraqi forces attacking in the center, and the Egyptians from the
south assisted by bombers—in what they unashamedly announced to
the world would be a war of extermination.

Tehran is providing the Syrian capital with an air defense shield at a time when Washington is avidly bidding to win president Bashar Assad away from his alliance with Tehran. 20 Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark. 21 They will go from one place to another, weary and hungry. And because they are hungry, they will rage and curse their king and their God. They will look up to heaven 22 and down at the earth, but wherever they look, there will be trouble and anguish and dark despair. They will be thrown out into the darkness.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not a Mahmoud Ahmadinejad fan by any means, but does Pres. Bush have the credibility to pull this off? I don't know-visions of retired Secretary of State Colin Powell giving an "intelligence" briefing at the UN replay in my brain:

Bush to Go Public on Iran’s Secret Nuclear Arms Activities
President George W. Bush is developing a new strategy for tackling Iran’s determined pursuit of a nuclear weapons program. He sounded out French president Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on his new ideas when they came over separately for talks in the last few days.

Was Powell ever set up for a fall. Lousy way for an admirable man to go out.

Palestinian-Israeli Peace? Not in this age.

Israel says it has foiled Palestinian plot to kill Jerusalem's mayor

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

JERUSALEM - Israeli police arrested three Palestinian militants who planned to kill the mayor of Jerusalem in a suicide attack two weeks ago, police said Sunday, after a gag order on the case was lifted.

The three, from east Jerusalem, also intended to carry out a shooting attack against Jews in the old city of Jerusalem, police said.

The suspects are members of the Islamic Jihad, a militant group that has carried out hundreds of attacks against Israelis, police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said.

He said they were from Tzur Bacher, a village inside the expanded city limits of Jerusalem. Israel captured east Jerusalem in the 1967 Middle East War and annexed it, giving its Arab residents Israeli ID cards, but only a few have taken Israeli citizenship.

Dimona

Israel on alert for Syria airstrike
THE defensive missile shield around Israel’s Dimona nuclear reactor was placed on red alert 30 times last week amid fears of an airstrike by Syria. Tension is mounting in Israel. “Every civilian aircraft en route from Cairo to Amman, or from Jeddah to Cairo and vice versa, which deviates even slightly from its route, sets off an alarm and risks a missile being fired,” said the female commander of the Patriot battery.

The unit is authorized to shoot down any aircraft which approaches, civilian or combat.

An Israeli Mirage jet that approached Dimona by mistake was shot down during the Six-Day War in 1967, while a Libyan Boeing 727 which lost its way in a storm in 1973 and approached Dimona was also downed. All 113 on board were killed.

Israel and the Middle East are about to explode. God's patience won't last forever.

1 As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it.
2 For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you.

2 Corinthians 6:1-2 [emphasis mine]

Hamas Is Producing a New Generation of Palestinian Extra-Power, Extra-Range Missiles in Gaza and West Bank
DEBKAfile’s military sources disclose that stocks of the primitive Qassam missiles are low because Hamas has stopped making them and is now fully engaged in setting up the production of a new generation of missiles upgraded to a range of up to 25 km, armed with 3-kilo warheads - one-and a half times the range of the types in current use and more than double their explosive power - and greater accuracy.

The new missiles bring half a million Israelis within range of Hamas fire – a quarter of a million in the south and a similar number in Israel’s heartland north and south of Greater Tel Aviv. In the South, the new missiles can reach Kiryat Gat and the southern outskirts of the big port-town of Ashdod.

I think Joel 3:4 is speaking loudly to our generation. Tyre and Sidon are cities in Lebanon, and Philistia describes the territory of present day Gaza. Lebanon and Gaza are the two areas from which Hezb'allah and Hamas Islamic terrorist groups are attacking present day Israel. I'm thinking Joel 3:4 could be talking about the situation around Israel today. If that assumption is correct, then everyone who has eyes needs to desperately look at the subject matter of Joel chapters 2 and 3. They talk about the end of this age.

We're living in a time 40 years, or one generation after Israel recaptured Jerusalem, after 2,500 years of exile. Is today a significant time? Only God the Father knows for certain, but going into the peace conference at Annapolis, MD in the last week of this month, we should all keep our eyes wide open, and be on our knees in prayer for all the lost. The Annapolis conference agenda includes proposals to divide Jerusalem. Is God going to let that happen again?! I doubt it. Jerusalem was restored to Israeli rule in 1967, after the 6-Day War, as prophesied. Keep close watch to see what happens in Annapolis, Maryland in the last week of this month.

Completely plagiarized from Behold the Beast, but I don't think they'll mind. This is too important:

The majority misunderstand Daniel's "time, times, and half a time"

Click this link to learn what a "time" is. If a time is a thousand years:

2-1/2 "times" = 2500 years. And 2500 - 533 = 1967! The restoration of the Jews to, and end of the Gentile control of, the holy city, Jerusalem. The end of the "shattering the strength of the holy people". Daniel wrote chapter 12, verse 7 in 533BC (the 3rd year of Cyrus) - 2,500 years after that came one of the biggest, if not the biggest, events in Israel's history!

Is this a one trick pony? No!
In another of Daniel's dreams we find:

2. Daniel 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, [and] told the sum of the matters.
You can Yahoo confirmation for the first year of Belshazzar to be 552 BC

Later in this dream we read:
Daniel 7:25 And he will speak words against the Most High, and he will oppress the high holy ones, and he will think to change the times and the law, and they will be delivered into his hand until a time, two times, and half a time.

2500 - 552 = 1948 The restoration of the Jews to the holy land, declaring an independent Israel. End of the Jews being oppressed by he who speaks "words against the Most High", and being scattered among the "wilderness" of the nations.

For this to be a pair of parallel accidents, that each span 2500 years, would be a stastical absurdity. Blessedly there are many more problems that reinforce them. For open eyes these problems aptly demonstrate that it wasn't until after the dates of 1948 and 1967 had come to pass, and we entered this - Daniel's - "time of the end", that we could understand the solutions to these simple problems both mathematically and textually. What a perfect seal God had Daniel put on this book!
These "times" problems are covered in more depth at this link.

Rabbis Invited For Pre-Annapolis Temple Mount Talks
Rice said, at the conclusion of the meeting, that she understood that religious matters were at the root of the disagreements ahead of the conference. “If this matter is not solved, then nothing will be solved,” she said. Those at the meeting reported her demeanor as tense.
As a follow-up, the invitations to the Chief Rabbis to the White House for three days of meetings were issued. The meetings, which will be attended by members of the Islamic Waqf and Christian leaders, will reportedly deal with a proposal similar to that floated by Vice Premier Chaim Ramon (Kadima). According to the proposal, the Jerusalem “Holy Basin” – meaning the Old City and surrounding areas – would be administered by a joint committee and not remain under Israeli sovereignty. According to Ramon’s plan, the Western Wall and Temple Mount would remain under Israeli control, but the Americans are reportedly pushing to see the Temple Mount relinquished as well.

FLASHBACK: Ramon Defends Plan to Split Jerusalem, Party Colleagues Say 'No'
_________________________________________________________________

It's no coincidence, Mark!

If the statistics are right, the Jews constitute but one per cent of the human race. It suggests a nebulous dim puff of star dust lost in the blaze of the Milky Way. Properly the Jew ought hardly to be heard of; but he is heard of. He is as prominent on the planet as any other people, and his commercial importance is extravagantly out of proportion to the smallness of his bulk. His contributions to the world's list of great names in literature, science, art, music, finance, medicine . . . are also way out of proportion to the weakness of his numbers. He has made a marvelous fight in this world, in all the ages; and has done it with his hands tied behind him. He could be vain of himself, and be excused for it. The Egyptian, the Babylonian and the Persian rose, filled the planet with sound and splendour, then faded to dream-stuff and passed away; the Greek and the Roman followed, and made a vast noise, and they are gone; other peoples have sprung up and held their torch high for a time, but it burned out, and they sit in twilight now, or have vanished. The Jew saw them all, beat them all, and is now what he always was, exhibiting no decadence, no infirmities of age, no weakening of parts, no slowing of his energies, no dulling of his alert and aggressive mind. All things are mortal but the Jew; all other forces pass, but he remains. What is the secret of his immortality?

Concern over safety of Pakistan's nukes
WASHINGTON is increasing alarmed that Pakistan's nuclear arsenal could fall into the hands of Islamic militants, as the political crisis there drags on.
Islamabad, Washington's key ally in the fight against al-Qaeda and Taliban militants, is believed to have about 50 nuclear-armed weapons or warheads, an arsenal it began assembling after successfully carrying out its first nuclear tests in May 1998.
There is no evidence that any of the weapons, said to be spread out in various locations around the country, are at risk [... but you never know. Stranger things have happened]

'Mideast atomic programs apocalyptic'
...Lieberman also said Pakistan was a major threat to Israel due to the political instability there and the fact that the country had "missiles, nuclear weapons and a proven capability...We hope there will be stability and the [Pakistani] nuclear weapons won't fall into radical hands," he said. "If the Taliban or [al-Qaida leader Osama] bin Laden get control [of Pakistan] they will have nuclear weapons for terror use and they don't hide their opinions about Israel."

Lieberman said ElBaradei was delaying the UN Security Council's consideration of a new round of sanctions by not publishing the new IAEA report on the status of Iran's nuclear program. "They [the IAEA and ElBaradei] are allowing Iran to stall for time and to launder its nuclear program," Lieberman said.

I agree with Lieberman. I'll even go further and say: if radical terrorists get hold of Pakistan's nuclear weapons, this age could end in a hurry - very much like a trap. God is not going to let Israel be destroyed again by the nations around her. I look forward to seeing the supernatural protection of God over Israel. The nations around Israel are bragging about her demise, but it's only hot air. Their doom will soon come. I have absolutely no doubt about that (Psalm 83).

32"I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

Ahmadinejad tells crowd that he bluntly refused a recent offer to negotiate with the United States over Iran's nuclear activities.

Iran's nuclear program a "one-way road," says Ahmadinejad
'Our nuclear program is a one-way road with no return and the Iranian nation would not even retreat one iota from this course,' he said in Birjand in north-eastern Iran, IRNA news agency reported. Ahmadinejad added that the UN resolutions were based on false information and have therefore lost their credibility for Iran.

Syria rejects Annapolis invitation

Olmert said that after the Annapolis parley, negotiations with the Palestinians would begin on all core issues, adding that implementation would be based on the road map peace plan. "Both sides are obligated to take certain steps. We are prepared to fulfill all of our obligations in order to move forward," he said.

Israel reports jump in Jerusalem Arabs seeking Israeli citizenship

The number of east Jerusalem Palestinians seeking Israeli citizenship has risen sharply in recent months, an Israeli official said Wednesday, as talk of a possible re-division of the city gains momentum.

China may dump greenback from its foreign currency reserves

DEBKAfile: The Annapolis (false) Peace Summit is set for November 26
US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice decided Monday, Nov. 5, to set a date for the Middle East peace conference in Annapolis, Maryland she has been promoting. It will take place on Nov. 26 even though her talks in Jerusalem and Ramallah with Israeli and Palestinian leaders uncovered assent on only one small point: both sides agree that the event need not be preceded by accord on all the core issues of the dispute.

IDF official: Iran could have nuclear weapons by 2009

"Iran's conservative sect is gaining power. The Iranian regime is faced with internal issues, but there is no danger to its existence or stability. Assuming no difficulties are mounted against it, the worst case scenario is Iran obtaining nuclear arms by 2009."

Markets fear banks have $1 trillion in toxic debt

A new phase in the credit crunch, one of “$1 trillion losses” seems to be dawning. The crisis at Citigroup and renewed doubts about some of the world’s leading banks disquieted stock markets on both sides of the Atlantic yesterday, with the fractious mood set to continue.

Islamists Vow to Take On Musharraf
A leading Islamist politician in Pakistan is calling for protests against Gen. Pervez Musharraf's imposition of a state of emergency, likening the campaign against the military ruler to the "obligatory" struggle against "any infidel" or foreign occupier.

Abbas: Palestinian State Can Be Achieved by 2009
Upcoming Peace Conference in Annapolis Will Launch Negotiations RAMALLAH, Nov. 5 -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said here today that he believes the path to peace with Israel is now open and that a Palestinian state can be achieved before the end of the Bush administration in January 2009. Echoing a near-identical statement made Sunday night by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Abbas said that an upcoming peace conference in Annapolis would launch negotiations over core issues in the conflict--the status of Jerusalem, the physical borders of a Palestinian state, the removal of Israeli settlements in the West Bank and the fate of Palestinian refugees who left their homes at the time of the 1948 war that established the Israeli state. "It is time," Olmert said in an impassioned speech. "All questions are on the agenda. We won't run away from any of them."

Blind leaders are about to negotiate the further division of Israel. Somebody is going to pay if these proposals actually go forward. Ariel Sharon's surrender of the Gaza should have been a lesson (i.e. where is he now?) God is not going to sit idly by forever while the regathered remnant/Israelites negotiate themselves out of existence. Prepare to see some supernatural things, I say.

Pakistan's got Bin Laden. Pakistan's got nukes.

Pakistan emergency prompts US to review aid
Reuters Canada
Pakistan police rounded up hundreds of people on Sunday after President Pervez Musharraf defied US pressure and widespread domestic opposition by imposing a state of emergency...
Veteran Islamist Qazi Hussein Ahmed, leader of the opposition religious alliance, called for street protests to overthrow "the military dictator."

Musharraf is all that stands between radical Islam and nuclear weapons. If Musharraf is deposed, Lord knows who would (will?) come to power. Restoring democracy in Pakistan is probably not a good thing. The U.S. should get off Musharraf's back and tread lightly. Put it this way: if Bin Laden was able to run in a democratic election there, he'd probably win.

12 "How terrible it will be for you who build cities with money gained by murder and corruption! 13 Has not the Lord Almighty promised that the wealth of nations will turn to ashes? They work so hard, but all in vain! 14 For the time will come when all the earth will be filled, as the waters fill the sea, with an awareness of the glory of the Lord.

Radical Islam is spreading its love...

Pakistan under martial law
Musharraf imposes emergency rule
Reuters Canada
By Kamran Haider ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf imposed emergency rule on Saturday and deployed troops across the capital in a bid to reassert his flagging authority against political rivals and Islamist militants.

That promised peace conference (NY Times)
The broad outlines of a deal for Israel and the new state of Palestine have been apparent since President Clinton’s 2000 push. The two states would be separated by a line approximating Israel’s pre-1967 war border, with small land swaps to permit most Jewish settlers in the West Bank to be part of Israel. There would be some kind of agreed resolution of the Palestinian refugees issue, while the two sides would find a way to split control of Jerusalem.

Watch out. If the proposed Annapolis, MD peace conference (date yet undetermined) takes place and discusses the division of Jerusalem, prepare for God's punishment. I have little doubt that if Jerusalem's division occurred, either the leaders negotiating the partitioning of Jerusalem or their respective countries will suffer. The time of the Gentiles ended when Israel captured Jerusalem in 1967. I do not recommend reversing that divine outcome. Hurricane Noel off North America's east coast is probably God's warning to Washington.

Daniel prophesied chapter 12, verse 7 in 533BC. Exactly 2,500 years after that prophesy, Jerusalem was freed from Gentile rule (time, times + half a time = 1000+1000+500 years. This is also confirmed by Israel becoming a nation again in 1948 - see Skolfield's The False Prophet). How anyone thinks they can safely reverse that event, is way beyond me. Don't play with God's wrath is my most sincere advice.

Bibles Unbound (A Ministry of Voice of the Martyrs)

I believe Jesus is coming back sooner than the vast majority think. Islam is persecuting and beheading His flock. Once the full number of Christians are killed - Christ is coming back in incredible glory!

Revelation 6:

10They called out in a loud voice, "How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?" 11Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.

[and then comes The Day of the Lord...]

12I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, 13and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. 14The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

15Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. 16They called to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?"

Cross-reference this Day of the Lord description to Matthew 24:

29"Immediately after the distress of those days
" 'the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'

30"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. 31And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Come Lord Jesus, and open the eyes of the spiritually blind before it is too late - amen!

Oil nears $100/Bbl
And, oh yeah, did I mention that Turkey and the Kurds are going to war? All of Iraq is going to be laid desolate like Sodom and Gomorrah (Isaiah 13:19-20). Don't count on the Anti-Christ setting up shop in a revived city of Babylon any time soon. We're headed for the Day of the Lord (Isaiah 13:6).
