"After lots of bluster about striking ISIS on Syria, President Obama threw cold water on the idea, disappointing those who wanted him to broaden the war."
Neither Assad or ISIS love America. Obama's been arming ISIS in Syria and in Iraq for that matter since Iraqi "soldiers" basically gave away their American weapons...and a couple hundred million USD$. What a mess. Don't count on the Obama'nation to clean it up before his term is done. I'm sure he'll still be "thinking about it" well into 2020 when he's not POTUS. Keeping some residual boots in Iraq would have helped.
