As the smoke is pouring out of the wildfires near Yosemite, so the smoke is pouring out of the Obama Administration in setting up the case for war against Syria. War rhetoric is rampant, leading most media sources to openly report that the bombing of Syria is only days or hours away, even though American public support for intervention is below 10%. There have been plenty of atrocities worldwide that the West could have chosen to act against but didn't. Why pick this one with such vigor?

What I think is really happening here is the US, Israel and allies are setting up for a larger war involving the bombing of Iran. It may well go something like this:

1. US and allies bomb Syria;
2. Iran and proxies retaliate and attack Israel and some American targets;
3. leading to Israel and American justification for turning Iran into a bunker buster-bombed crater.

Of course looming extremely large in this theory is prophesy in Ezekiel 38 where it states Persia (Iran) will be involved in an end of days attack on Israel with Libya and Ethiopia/Sudan, among others.  The timing of this attack is exactly right now that Israel is back in its land. We are staring into the end of this age. Sounds ominous and crazy, but any sincere student of the Bible can tell you this is so.

Damascus, the Syrian capital, will end up like this:

Isaiah 17:   1 This message came to me concerning Damascus:

“Look, the city of Damascus will disappear!
    It will become a heap of ruins.

This war will end like this:

Ezekiel 38:  23 In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

The timing is right!

Matthew 24:
32 “Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. 33 In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. 34 I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

Meaning: When Israel (the fig tree) returns to its land and begins to flourish, we can know that Christ's return is 'right at the door' and the end of the world is at hand. Israel returned to its land on May 14, 1948 via a declaration by the UN. Israel was reborn in one day EXACTLY as stated in Isaiah 66:

 “Before the birth pains even begin,    Jerusalem gives birth to a son.Who has ever seen anything as strange as this?    Who ever heard of such a thing? Has a nation ever been born in a single day?    Has a country ever come forth in a merey moment? But by the time Jerusalem’s birth pains begin [my interpretation: the Holocaust],    her children will be born. Would I ever bring this nation to the point of birth    and then not deliver it?” asks the Lord.“No! I would never keep this nation from being born,”    says your God.

The timing is right; we're in the last generation.
