Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov |
Jpost | Israel's bombing run in Syria attracts condemnation from Russia, Iran and Hezb'allah
"If this information is confirmed, then we are dealing with unprovoked attacks on targets on the territory of a sovereign country, which blatantly violates the UN Charter and is unacceptable, no matter the motives to justify it," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Blah, blah, blah, so Russia, Iran, and Hezb'allah are unhappy with Israel. What else is new?
DEBKAfile - Russia slams Israeli attack on Syria. US forces in Jordan on alert: "
The Syrian announcement of an Israeli air strike on a military site near Damascus Wednesday, Jan. 30, drew strong condemnation from Moscow the next day: “Such action if confirmed would amount to unacceptable military interference in the war-ravaged country,” said the statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry Thursday. “If this information is confirmed, then we are dealing with unprovoked attacks on targets on the territory of a sovereign country, which blatantly violate the UN Charter and is unacceptable, no matter the motives to justify it.”"
Reading this stuff in the news every morning is a joy. The ignorant enemies of Israel think they can threaten re-gathered Israel and change what God has long ago determined. World opinion will continue to turn against Israel as we get closer to the end, but Israel has, and only needs, one Ally.
Zechariah 12
New Living Translation (NLT)
12 This message concerning the fate of Israel came from the Lord: “This message is from the Lord, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the human spirit. 2 I will make Jerusalem like an intoxicating drink that makes the nearby nations stagger when they send their armies to besiege Jerusalem and Judah. 3 On that day I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All the nations will gather against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves.
4 “On that day,” says the Lord, “I will cause every horse to panic and every rider to lose his nerve. I will watch over the people of Judah, but I will blind all the horses of their enemies.5 And the clans of Judah will say to themselves, ‘The people of Jerusalem have found strength in the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, their God.’
