We only hear 10% of the truth. I bet it's the oil and the fact that almost a third of the world's oil travels within a couple miles of Iran's shores.
It is fun watching the Europeans suddenly showing concern now that the U.S. has backed off. I guess they finally figured out that an Iranian missile takes less time to hit Europe than it would the U.S.
Hey Jeepthang, Which boards do you visit? I find Rapture Ready interesting from its wide variety of topics. http://www.rr-bb.com/
Hi End-times, I have sick kids at home so spent most of the weekend nursing them back to health. I took the time to re-read the False Prophet and was amazed as how much more caught my attention and understanding. I find it interesting that as the day of the lord's return draws closer, mome and more understanding comes to light.
Secondly, I'm beginning to see the scales tip in favor of chaos. Freedom of speech is being quickly eroded. Speaking out against homosexuality will get you arrested for Hate speech in a growing number of states, and even home schooling your kids is being targeted by a growing number of districts.
While I pulled the following quote from WND today discussing the biase against homeschooling in Germany, similar thoughts are taking root in the US as well, "Wolfgang Drautz, consul general for the Federal Republic of Germany, has commented on the issue on a blog, noting the government "has a legitimate interest in countering the rise of parallel societies that are based on religion or motivated by different world views and in integrating minorities into the population as a whole."
Drautz said homeschool students' test results may be as good as for those in school, but "school teaches not only knowledge but also social conduct, encourages dialogue among people of different beliefs and cultures, and helps students to become responsible citizens."
The day when it will be illegal to be a Christian in the world soon approaches.
Rev 11:7 And when they [the Two Witnesses] shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
Eze 22:27-28 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. And her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.
I got Skolfield's 'new' book "Islam in the End Times". I haven't really dug into it yet (because my wife was sick too this weekend, and I was somewhat looking after the kids and their friend), but his new book actually looks a lot like a re-write of the The False Prophet, so far.
Regarding an erosion of religious rights? Ya I totally see that happening in liberal Canada as well, but thankfully not as quickly as in Germany. I'm kinda hoping the Christian persecution, especially the Islamic kind (i.e. beheadings) doesn't make it over here to North America. But who, other than the good Lord, knows what kind of suffering we're going to have to endure - or worse yet, our children are going to have to endure.
I'm hoping and praying that Christ's return is within "this generation" (Matt 24:34), and like the message boards, I hope we don't have long at all. Put it this way, I don't see a "true" spiritual revival emanating out of the Laodicean church today, so in my opinion the true church will only be persecuted more severely, and weak Christians will be picked off like flies, until Christ comes back to straighten it all out. Christ is probably waiting for a few more Christian converts, or for the full number of Christian martyrs to occur, like Revelation says, before He comes back. But I don't see a huge upsurge in Christian numbers from where I sit. Perhaps somewhere in the 3rd world, but not in North America.
Public school has become completely outrageous-to the point where, in some districts, parents have to (or should) pray that their kids make it to graduation without getting shot physically or "shot" spiritually. Seems to me Satan is working overtime in the minds of his servants, because he sees better than most Christians do, that his final hour is approaching fast.
Hey.. ya Ive been there (RR-BB.com) a few times. Cant really say I like one over any others.. alot of these share the same info and messages.
The thing that bugs me about Skolfield is, from what I gathered, his view is that we Christians will be here for a long while yet and getting our heads chopped off. Im not into that, personally. Though, his interpretations are nice and appear well founded, I just am not 100% sure that I go along with them. I like the interpretations that say Jesus is coming to get us before it gets really crazy here.. and that means before Tribulation and long before His Wrath. Now.. all the chatter that Ive seen lately, these "messages" from God that claim the "banquet tables are set and we're gonna get snatched up outta here sometime before Christmas.. those are the ones that really get me excited.
Its no big secret that I don't love my life.. couldnt care less, actually. I am fed up with this stinking rock we're on. And the biggest problem I really have to overcome, because I know HE is gonna let me have it, is that I do not love my fellow man. Couldnt care less. So.. gotta work on that.
Go through this life with a focus on the "next life", JT. This life often seems rather pointless, but God's got a plan for our future starting right now. Not just starting once we leave this earth.
I know I've had some difficulty seeing the purpose of what I'm going through in my life right now - mostly surrounding career. I don't know why God does what He's doing, but His thoughts are a 'Jillion' (as my son says) times bigger than what our puny minds can concoct. We gotta trust Him and pray for His help to get through life, regardless of how frustrating it is at times.
I agree with ET. My journey back to Christ has been fairly recent. To make a long story short, People often relate that they found Christ while in the depth of dispair. My case is quite the opposite. He openned my eyes when life couldn't be better for me. I've been working abroad as a US Diplomat now for 10 years, 13 if you count the 3 yrs I spent with the Peace Corps. I've seen the absolute best and worst humanity has to offer(I know what living in the shadow of absolute tyrany looks and feels like), but it was while I was in the Dominican Republic spending time volunteering in a small orphanage that Christ touched my heart and opened my eyes to what was real and our purpose for living on this earth. This little kids thought I was doing something for them, little do they know that THEY are the ones doing more. They saved my life.
Remember the parable of the talents Matthew 25:14-30
We must use what god gives us to build glory in his name. It doesn't have to be a huge undertaking, just reinvesting his love back into man and attempting to right the little wrongs we encounter on a day to day basis. My wife thinks I'm like Don Quixote fighting my own "windmills"; Perhaps, But it feels right spiritually, and provides clearer purpose and direction in my "Day Job".
JT, Thank you for sharing with us the stone sitting in your heart. Cast it out and start fighting your own "windmills". Do it for Christ our Savior and no one else. You'll be happy you did.

Theres got to be more to this than what we're told.. Im sure.
I imagine it has something to do with oil.
It sickens me that Bush turned against Israel.
