TFP book will be worth your while to read! It will explain a lot of the chaos and terror that is about to come on the world.
Jamie,
That's what I like about you - you think like me (LOL!)
Replacement theology confounds me. I don't see any support for that in Holy scripture other than the fact that God was ticked off at Israel for their disobedience, but Jacob is undoubtedly being restored to 'the land'. The fact that the remnant even exists is a pure miracle but it happened because the Creator of absolutely everything willed it that way. Plus 1948 and 1967 are pointed to in prophesy as described by Skolfield. But you obviously know all that, so I pray for your family, that God would take the blindness from their eyes.
Regarding whether Christ will say because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth to people that believe in RT...I think Revelation 3's Laodiceans is descriptive of the greater church just before Christ comes back. In other words, I think that passage is descriptive of the church TODAY!
I live in an area that is very rich - me excluded. There is a lot of oil wealth here (I live in Alberta, Canada) and it is very tempting for the churches in my area not to see their spiritual nakedness and wretchedness. Too much money amongst church members is a real impediment to spiritual growth. So sad, but so true.
So I think the Laodiceans are most of the people that are Christians today. I'm not judging, that's just my opinion, which also fits with my opinion that Christ is likely to come back soon. We are the 7th church of Revelation; we are at the last 'church stage' - in my opinion.
The fig tree is indeed greening BIG TIME. People can't see that, because, just like in the days of Noah, most people are not looking for it. Except you and me and jeepthang amoung others.
God bless, I'd better go eat some more turkey before my kids "gobble" it all up (pun intended).
