Wake up Christians!

This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.
Revelation 13:18

What religion "extols the spiritual perfection of 666 " ?

Islam.

A simple YAHOO search tells you that.

Islam and the mark '666'

Hi Endtime- When will Christians wake up? Maybe never. It is like the mainstream Christian church has done a role reversal with the Jews and the Jewish leaders of the first century. They are blind and deaf, with no understanding. Trapped in their traditional theology and endtime beliefs. They read their Bibles, and don't understand. They love G_d, but don't follow His direction. Replacement Theology, traditional endtime beliefs-Islam and the fulfillment of prophecy right in front of them to see, the news to hear, and they don't see, hear, or understand. As far as my church goes, no one will talk to me. I'm starting a new church in two weeks. I can't talk, write letters, or alienate myself from family anymore. I'll continue praying for all.......

Your analogy of 1st century Jews is right on the money. What worries me is summarized in the verse of the day on my blog (1 Corinthians 2:14)

The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

This worries me because the Holy Spirit that you and I have which allows us to understand what Skolfield is saying SHOULD be the same Holy Spirit that other Christians have, no? Then why do they write me/you off as heretics and as simpletons who "disregard the obvious". It's they who are missing the obvious. Skolfield provides tremendous insight that spoke right to the Holy Spirit living in me-and this was/is no evil spirit! It's a tragedy that other Christians don't perceive the prophesies that have come and are coming true right before our eyes.

That's how I got shot down on Joel Rosenberg's blog. After reading Skolfield, I was so excited that I went and shared it there - and MAN DID I GET SHOT DOWN for not abiding by the "Dallas Theological Seminary doctrine" - WOW, how extremely sad!

I have all the spiritual strength and encouragement from the good Lord to "continue on" so to speak, but the Christian life, in this day and age, is a lonely one indeed.

I hope you find a church you can at least live with. Myself, I've actually taken the summer off from attending a "feel good - talk only about His goodness and not about our God's wrath" service. We'll probably go back this Sunday, but only reluctantly. Got to keep praying for strength to endure until Christ comes back, which literally could be any day now. My hope is that my wife and I can wake up perhaps one or two Christians at a time in the Laodicean church of today.

I'd better go. Praise the Lord for His saving grace! Have a great weekend!

Hi Endtime- the best verse I can come up with for why Christians don't understand is Isa 42:9-Who is blind like the one committed to me,blind like the servant of the Lord?

It is very lonely. I've been studying Isaiah, and I am so awed by G_d and by what He has allowed me to understand. I walk around praising HIM and then I wish I could share it with someone. I try, but all I get is blank stares, the subject changed ect. I think my Christian family thinks my salvation is at risk because I actually belive what is written in G_ds word!! They give me books on Theology to show me how to understand The Scriptures the RIGHT way. I do have my daughter and grandson to share with, but I feel like a new Christian and I want to tell everyone!! If G_d is willing, I will have a manuscript ready for the writers conferance in June.

The analogy about the 1st century Jews is right out of Isaiah. After you told me about the 'chiasm'Hebrew poetry style I could see it. Thankyou{!!!} I'm seeing so much I never saw before.

Regarding the chiasm, thank Mr. Skolfield not me. He did the 'homework'. We're just the fortunate recipients of his hard work.

What's the writers conference in June?
