DEBKAfile March 17, 2013, 10:57 AM (GMT+02:00)
US National Security Adviser Tom Donilon said Sunday that the US will not accept North Korea as a nuclear state although that country has tested three atomic bombs. DEBKAfile: This assertion was contested strongly by two eminent US nuclear experts, Simon Henderson, head of the Middle East Institute’s Persian Gulf Department, and former UN nuclear inspector Ollie Heinonen of Harvard University. They find this White House attitude untenable, especially when Washington has so far been unable to establish whether the last North Korean test in February was fueled by enriched uranium or plutonium.
Note to the Obama Administration:
N Korea is already a nuclear state, setting off underground explosions, freely sharing technology with Iran.
