'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!'
2 Timothy 3:
1 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

wow this is very hard to say but in that paragraph I find myself a bit. I thank you for putting that up. On a better note...Dr Graham said it all in his prayer. I read your blog daily but most times I don't know what to say about what it going on anymore. I've been asking the Lord in prayer that I can get back my hunger for His Word. Any prayers would be so nice. Things are happening at such a fast rate anymore it's hard to keep up other than just try to absorb what the ramification's of it all could mean. I love the Lord with everything I have. But it's hard sometimes.

I think the "they" Medvedev is referring to is the mints. I don't necessarily subscribe to the view that a one world currency will be administered under an Anti-Christ. I know the predominant eschatological theory says so, but I've got a lot of doubts about the standard end time theory. Chief among them is that the theory doesn't point to Islam as a major thorn in the freedom of Christians and Jews. I think Ellis Skolfield has done a masterful job of showing how Daniel's days prophesies point directly at Islam as the last enemy of the Church before Christ's return.
Muslims are already beheading Christians and Jews in Middle Eastern countries, including 'liberated' Iraq. Islam has already placed an abomination of desolation on Mount Moriah - the Temple Mount. Islam worships the number 666. Islam already places non-Muslims in a state of subservient dhimmitude and completely reject Christ as the Son of God as evidenced by the engravings on the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount..anyways...I have many doubts on the prevalent theory and I've had far too many unecessarily heated arguments with people in my own family about it. I think today's Laodicean church age has missed the mark (no pun intended) on what's going on in the last stage(s) of this world.

Your very welcome. Dr. Graham often hits the 'nail on the head', and this prayer does just that. It truly convicts the age we're living in, and 2 Timothy 3 - I consider that amazingly accurate prophesy, 100% fulfilled in our day! A sad part of that, is 2 Timothy 3 talks about attitudes that are not just in the world, but also in the church. I can't believe what I'm hearing and seeing going on in today's evangelical church. It's just full of rot,at least up here in Canada, quite frankly.
I would highly, highly encourage you to dig into the Word. Christ even tells the Laodicean church that He's there if we're willing to seek Him:
Revelation 3:
20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. 21To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.
Even though the world is against us, and many (most?) parts of the church are against us, we have to overcome these wicked forces because the stakes and rewards are huge. I've sent a couple prayers up for you since you posted last night. I pray for that same hunger to keep digging into the Word in spite of the fact that it looks like nobody else is. It's so sad that many Christians, including many in my own family, do not dig into the Bible and treat it as it deserves.
Lord, shape our priorities until they are Yours!
We're swimming upstream against a raging river of scoffers and unbelievers in this age. Fight the good fight:
1 Timothy 6:
11But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 12Fight the good fight of the faith. i was struck by the word "causeth." not "commanded" but causeth. what if radical islam did something to "cause" all of the world govs to institute a "mark?"
I think receiving the mark happens when people decide to follow the LBL beast of Revelation 13 - in other words become Muslim. I think this mark is actually spiritual, not physically capable of being seen. Similar to "the mark" in the spiritual vision of Ezekiel 9. I think the mark of the beast is something spiritual, just like Christians are "sealed" until redemption. No microchips. No RFID. Let's use the Bible to determine what a "seal" is and you come up with something entirely different than what's being spread out there.
Ephesians 4:
30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
