Russia, China and allies play war games
BEIJING — Russia , China and four former Soviet Central Asian republics have sent some 6,500 troops to participate in a multinational war game, in which they've deployed paratroops, 80 aircraft and hundreds of armored combat vehicles to suppress an Islamic uprising, similar to one that occurred in Uzbekistan in 2005.

Canadian Hezbollah supporters defend right to post billboard
A billboard that appears to promote Hezbollah -- an organization the Canadian government has ruled to be terrorist -- has raised the hackles of a number of Windsor community groups. However, one of the people responsible for the sign said it was put up to honour their freedom-fighter families in Lebanon -- and it's their Canadian right to do so.
Global warming? Look at the numbers
Perhaps we will have uncontrollable warming in the future, but it likely hasn't started yet.
Below are the August '07 highs/lows where I live. Doesn't look like warming to me. Must just be an anomaly. (For my American friends - 0 Celcius is freezing). Never thought I'd be running the furnace in mid-August (?)

Thanks Jamie. We had a great family vacation and wished it didn't have to end. On the positive side, some day we'll be in paradise permanently - I can't wait for that!
