Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas appealed to the UN Secretary, Condoleezza Rice and the German foreign minister to stop… Israeli attacks on Palestinians.
Hamas Traps Israel between Two Options: War or War of Attrition
"A senior Israeli officer commented Thursday: 'The fire burning in Sderot and Gaza could spread suddenly to Lebanon or Syria.'...Jabari and Abu Obeida have said out loud to Israel that their missile offensive will be intensified. And if Israeli ground forces enter the Gaza Strip, they will face full-scale combat and the unleashing of suicide bombers against civilian populations."
N Korea 'tests new missile in Iran'
North Korea may have used a launch-pad in Iran to test a new missile capable of hitting American bases in the Pacific island of Guam, according to reports from Japan and South Korea.
Analysis: war looms in Gaza
" Hard as it is to imagine, but Israel may again be preparing to go to war [from a Christian perspective, this isn't hard to believe at all. Actually I expected it]...Ordinarily the West would intervene to stop the situation unraveling. But Britain and France are now being run by two new and inexperienced leaders. President Bush is weak and distracted by his own problems in Iraq. All the diplomatic options look tired and unconvincing. The prospects for the region could not be bleaker."
The prospects for the region could not be bleaker? Oh yes, the prospects for Gaza could be and will be bleaker. Listen to what the God of Jacob says:
Isaiah 14:
29 Do not rejoice, all you Philistines,
that the rod that struck you is broken;
from the root of that snake will spring up a viper,
its fruit will be a darting, venomous serpent.
30 The poorest of the poor will find pasture,
and the needy will lie down in safety.
But your root I will destroy by famine;
it will slay your survivors.
31 Wail, O gate! Howl, O city!
Melt away, all you Philistines!
A cloud of smoke comes from the north,
and there is not a straggler in its ranks.
32 What answer shall be given
to the envoys of that nation?
"The LORD has established Zion,
and in her his afflicted people will find refuge."
[emphasis mine]
Things don't bode well for Assad's Damascus, either [Isaiah 17]. So we should watch for that too. Praise the Lord he is in control; it does feel somewhat surreal to be living in the time where Israel has been gathered back home, after 2,000 years of exile, and after the time of the Gentiles is complete (Luke 21:24). I personally believe we will witness some amazing, supernatural works of God in the time ahead. My prayer is that you would be ready for them through the only protection available from God's impending wrath: the blood of Jesus Christ. Nothing but the blood of Jesus, amen.

HI Endtime- thanks for the updates and your thoughts! I'm watching Lebenon and Gaza as well. Isa. 17 this summer? I'm comforted to know that God is 'keeping watch' as well.
Have you read Earthquake Resurrection? Intersting...........
Isa. 17? Yup, possibly. We may see amazing things this summer. Unless, of course, we are taken out of here in a twinkling of an eye. We may miss this summer, but I don't think we'd feel like we're missing anything IF that happens.
I'm almost finished reading "Then His Voice Shook the Earth" by Lowe (it's shorter:)) I like most of this book; he interlocks his theories with the traditional pre-tribulation theory, which doesn't speak to me, as you know. Each to his own until we meet Christ to straighten us all out.
Hi EndTimes,
You highlighted the glaring hypocrisy that I caught when reading these news articles as well. Palestinians fire scores of rockets into Israel yet it’s the Israelis that must stop?????
We are definitely in a world were good is bad and bad good. May Jesus bless us all and keep us safe during these dangerous times. God and his son are our only saviors now and the only ones that will be able to guide us in the presence of our enemies. Stay safe in Chist's light.
Hi New_Beginning,
Hypocrisy is right! As you know, many in the world are negatively biased against the remnant of Israel (the Jews). It would go far better for the anti-Semitic if they would come on-side with the Jews:
Genesis 12:2-4
2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
4 So Abram left, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Haran.
Life would be so much better if people stopped rebelling against God and His holy Word. Do people actually think they can win against the maker (and controller) of everything? Not until Christ comes back will we be able to live in perfect peace. It will be fantastic!
Pray for the lost, so that they will be able to see.
Hi Endtime- of all the news stations I been watching, only Fox has included in their reports that Israel has had rockets raining down on them for months.The fact that there are very few fatalities in Israel as a result is evidence of Gods protection.
I'm not on board with the pre-trib theory either but the rest of Lowes conclusions resonate.

Jamie,
I hear you on Lowe. I need to finish reading the book I got off his website. I have been distracted by a job promotion, so it's taking me a while to finish this rather short book (Then His Voice Shook the Earth).
Have an excellent day!
Congratulations on the promotion! Where did you down load this book, "Then his voice shook the earth"?
New_beginning,
The book can be downloaded from here:
Then His Voice Shook the Earth
There's also another book available from this author: Earthquake Resurrection. I haven't read that one. Lightshine can tell you about it I think.
New_beginning,
I forgot...thanks for the congratulations on the job promotion. I get to be the boss now - look out! (;
