Did Israel intercept a Russian missile shipment en route to Iran? Sounding more like Ezekiel 38 all the time.

There are also questions surrounding the Arctic Sea's rescue. On orders from the Kremlin, Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov sent a completely disproportionate force, including destroyers and submarines, to look for the vessel. It took five days for them to find it, the Defense Ministry said, even though the Foreign Ministry later announced that it was fully aware of the Arctic Sea's coordinates the entire time.

Several large truck bombs blew up across Baghdad and around its heavily fortified Green Zone, Wednesday, Aug. 19, hitting the Iraqi foreign and finance ministries, followed by a mortar barrage. Buildings were destroyed and windows shattered at the Iraqi parliament and the diplomatic complex inside the Green Zone in the bloodiest terror attack in Iraq this year.

If Iran launches a nuclear weapon at US troops in Iraq, I'd say Isaiah 13 was being fulfilled.

Wow, is this ever appropriate for today...

2 Corinthians 11:

3 But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. 4 You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.

Where I live, Christians are afraid to make a stand for Christ, and defend what the Bible says. They don't want to 'rock the boat', they quickly quote: "judge not lest you be judged" (Matthew 7:1), and consequently they let sin go unaddressed within the church walls. This approach just 'kills' the effectiveness of the church because soon it looks just like the outside world.

Phillipians 6:
1 Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.

2 Timothy 3:
1 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

9 When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin. 10 But I wasn’t talking about unbelievers who indulge in sexual sin, or are greedy, or cheat people, or worship idols. You would have to leave this world to avoid people like that. 11 I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.

15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

In times of economic struggle or natural disaster, it is easier to examine one's priorities. We live in a time where both economic and natural disaster surround us. Could this be God's way of telling us to get our priorities in order before it is too late? The world, including Hollywood, seem to be abuzz with end-times thinking ( I was just watching the movie "Knowing", with Nicolas Cage, last night). There are many discussion groups and fellow Christians online, all talking about how we are possibly the last generation on earth, or how Obama is likely the last US Administration before Christ's coming. We don't know, of course, if we are in fact the last generation, but the signs of the end of this age are definitely evident. Israel is back in the Holy Land and is flourishing - the fig tree is greening.

In the unique time we live in, we need to remember that even though we may be experiencing difficult circumstances, all these things will pale in comparison to the glory of Christ's coming. Think about your difficulties, whatever they are, from this perspective. When Christ comes back - the race is over, this age is over forever , and will only be a distant memory.

Hebrews 10:
25not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

For Pete's sake!! Just call them what they really are. Using a current, favorite phrase of Obama - 'stop the disinformation!' These are Muslim Jihadis itching to someday overthrow Paris, France, Europe, and eventually the world.

These reporters won't recognize the enemy until the Islamic swords start cutting their throats. Political correctness is killing us.
